OK, So my voice chat does work at the moment, but it keeps defaulting to my speakers.

I have a C-Media USB Headset.

Windows 7 is configured to use it as the default communications device.

On 'Character Select' I can set up Voice Chat to use the headset for both input and output.

On 'Character Select' I can test the headset microphone and playback the sound to my headset.

As soon as I get in game, the output switches back to 'Default' which ends up being my Speakers.

Input is unaffected, I can still talk using my headset.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you for reading!

I am having the problem too, and just sent a /bug.

To me it looks like there is a problem with the name of the device, where there are 3 trailing spaces. when I save the options from charcter select I have the following entry in my eq2_recent.ini:vc_output_device Lautsprecher (C-Media USB Audio Device )

I have no idea what I can do about it. I tried to edit the device name in the registry without luck.

And it is really strange that the switching of the voice output works in the character select, but not in game.
