Why are things like this being put on the CashMachine? It would be more fun to add these as new racial quests, that way those players who would like them could get them by doing a quest that dealt with some of the racial Lore, like the Racial Books and the old Racial Mentor tasks

I think it's cool to have racial armor sets, but I would like to see an alternative racial quest line added to the game with the armor as a reward. At least this would give people two options and satisfy both types of players.

I agree with the above post except I would add to it that any SC armor should be tagged as such (I.E. Really Cool Ogre Helm Vs. Really Cool Ogre Helm SC) just put a SC tag at the end of it to define how it was attained.

Are you gonna judge the person by whether they had more time or more money to spend on fluff appearance items? talk about snobbish elitism, pfft

I am not an opponent for the Marketplace. I do buy things from there and I do not have a problem with it being in the game. However, with these "Heritage" sets they had a perfect opportunity to add some updated racial quests to the game with these as the rewards. Lore is very meaningful for me in this game and I would like to see a little more concentrated on the unique individual races of Norrath.

That being said, the armor does fit an ogre very well. Unlike the DE armor, it reminds me of EQ1 and whoever designed it did a good job.

The most important question to be asked, outside of the totally outlandish prices that borderline criminal, is why the heck are they release the items slowly? Furthermore why release the ugly ones first? Gnome heritage would be the clear winner for them robbing the masses for a virtual item that cost more than the monthly subscription. I myself have been eagerly awaiting to spend tons of SC just to load it up on all my toons. I am assuming they have some marketing strategy behind it all(seriously the guys who thought of the methods of release should be fired) but its pretty silly.

The idea behind items on SC being more visually appealing than items from major boss encounters is fairly saddening, and its pretty much the reason why EQ2 will lose a huge chunk of its remaining playerbase next year due to other more intriguing games coming out that hopefully do not follow in the footsteps of blatently upsetting its playerbase with utter nonsense.

Why cant they actually do a different model of armor if youre going to pay real money?

I also agree that racial armor should be a quest.

Anyone remember the level 20 armor quests? Those were annoying but just about everyone did them to earn the suit.
