<p>Game works fine with station launcher ... old patcher gives this error:</p><p>Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.</p><p><verify> E:liveframeworkcoredevicessrcDirectX9RenderDevice. cpp (1856)</p><p>Failed to create D3D device for NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250</p><p>00b1ee91</p><p>What are some suggestions?</p>

<p>The error you are seeing is usually caused by an incompatible video card driver.  However it does seem strange that you are able to get into the game with one launcher and not the other.  Since we are in the process of phasing out the old launcher (eq2.exe), you may want to consider sticking with either the Station Launcher or the Streaming Client (recommended).</p><p><a href="http://launcher.station.sony.com" target="_blank">Station Launcher</a></p><p><a href="http://launch.soe.com/eq2 " target="_blank">Streaming Client</a></p>
