coercer aoe mez

<p>Hello, i'm new t oplaying a Coercer.</p><p>I have been looking at the spell lines for coercer vs illusionist. I am mostly interested in aoe mez and i found "Pure Awe". I looked at Illusionist and found "Phantasmal Awe". What is the difference between the two? Someone told me that Illusionists are the aoe mez kings but i don't see how. Can someone help me awith a little info please. So far Coercer looks the best to be.</p><p>thanks.</p>

<p>I'm not 100% certain on the levels that Illusionists get their mezzes, but I know at 60 Coercers are the kings of stuns and Illusionists are the Masters of mezzes.  By then Coercers have their AoE stun and mind bend while Illusionists have thier AoE mezz and another direct target mezz.</p><p>I believe that we both get a group mezz and a single target mezz, but after that for every Coercer stun, Illys get a similar version of mezz, or something to that effect.</p><p>The Coercer Awe is a targeted-group AE spell which means it will hit all the mobs in your targeted group, not all the mobs around you.  You get an AoE stun/nuke at 50 which is better in some cases.</p>

<p>thank you for the comprehensive reply Sonorod. I guess when using stuns with dd then the tank just needs to time aoe taunt so all the mobs don't agro coercer after. I like playing the coercer so i'll stick to that for now.</p><p>thanks again.</p>
