I know its a small thing but it woud be really handy if there was a simple /makeraidleader function which worked on any member of the raid reguardless of which group they are in.

Set it to default group leader in group 1 but it'll be really handy to have the raid leader not have to be in group 1; asigned looters is great and all that but sometimes its needed for the person who needs to move everyone around doesn't have to be in group 1.

There are a couple of cases where somethign will always happen to the 1st or second person in the raid list which often limits the job at which the first group can do. Plus if you need to quickly move yourself out of a group (rather than an entire group around) it will allow you to do that.

Last night especially it got really messy with it working out that even sometimes our recruits were made "raid leader" and we had to tell them who to move and where.

Continuing on from that the ability to invite reguardless of your group is full and it putting members into the first open spot will be ideal as well.?

Heck, a "rally point" in your guildhall would be perfect; where the raid leader can see who is avial to raid (friend or higher in guidhall?) and just drag them into a raid; even a display which shows you how many raid banners you have and of what type so you can buy more from the guildhall funds; (even if you are ina raid zone!) and send everyone off using the flag system automatically so you dont; have to zone back to guidhall.. but that's just a pipe dream

At the end of the day there is numerous thgns a raid leader needs to look at... even in game (banner/flag/group setup/looter options etc etc) it woudl be nice if these were combined into a raid window or sorts with all these functions avial but one which doesn't fill our screen with complex UI functionlity and click buttons .

I agree, it would be very useful for a raid leader to have the option to be in any group, rather than just group 1.

Or, give the raid leader the option to grant the ability to arrange groups to other raid members, similar to assigned looters. Then it doesn't matter so much who is actually raid leader, others can take care of arranging the raid and shuffling people as they are invited.

I've feedbacked 1-2 of these before, but here ya go!

1) allow raid leader to move himself within raid and keep 'raid leader' tag

2) command to see who's online in guild but not in raid

3) if no more empty groups, /raidinvite will place character in any available slot

4) append additional guild to guild hall ~ set one (1) other guild (guild b) in the 'access' panel for GH (a) that anyone in guild (b) will be granted 'Friend' access by default

Aaand the logic:

1) sucks moving 11 other people around so that you keep raid leader, when really you only needed to move yourself into the other group.

2) fun trying to find out who is / is not in raid aside from the obvious when already in a raid zone

3) win moving people around first 5min of raid so that everyone can get invited

4) people in alt guild have to ask for manual friend access to main GH for flag / what not

I think the underlying mechanic is that group 1 is the group that formed the raid, and the raid leader is the leader of the group that formed the raid, so it's unlikely to change. But what's so special about group 1? It's the group the raid leader's in, but that doesn't give it any particular function beyond that. I can see wanting someone being raid leader who's not in the MT group, but that's easily done by just forming the MT group in some group other than group 1.

The idea of Friend access to our guild hall being given by someone outside our guild to people we don't know, does not appeal.
