It has been a whle since the latest changes to the warfields, so I thought I would start a new thread about reactions to the changes.

As someone who mostly falls within the level range of the EL warfields, I have to say it has been an unwelcome change. They are dead. It has ended in a draw all except one time that I've played, and I go to several a day (granted off peak hours).

I wish I knew the reasoning for them putting the changes into place. If it was to give players an opportunity to take down towers...well a level 40 toon obviously cannot take down level 79 tower guardians. Even if there are a couple of groups of them they cannot do it in time. And due to the trends, players tend to be 30s, 40s or 90. It would be a bit better if they just removed the EL towers and changed the levels in Antonica up to 79 or 80.

And if it was to cut down on leeching -- that has not worked, even with the small help of getting carnage flagged for doing it. A more permanent fix to leeching is to make someone outside of the 8 level range an illegal target. And if you were to consider that as a solution, making anyone that is mentored as an illegal target, unable to engage in pvp for them and those that would attack them, would also relieve some annoyance for people that want to mentor friends.

/shrug. For mid-levels, the wfs are awful. And bgs are dead too in off peak hours for those not 30s, 80-90. They should try to do something for players that aren't rushing/PL'd to 90 or locked in their 30s. Just my 2cp though.

It adds a sense of risk to the game, one that is sorely lacking. pvp is supposed to be a risk v reward situation. As it stands now, there is no risk for anything in this game anywhere at all, ever. You die? You go pay a few coin and repair your gear.

The only thing I would change about mentoring is if you are attacked, you should be able to kill the person that is attacking you. This would stop when they killed your friend though, and you wouldn't get updates from them unless you normally would (your pvp writ was in the level range that you were mentoring to).

Btw, it hasn't been a while. It's only been 2 weeks. Patience, my friend, patience.

when you die in pvp combat make the the revive spot in the character's home city or cave. that way you dont have to worry about an immunity timer like it is now and all a group or solo person has to do is click the bell to the zone disired and they are back in the action. give 30 sec zone in immunity. i know there is proabley a downfall to this, just cant see it yet.

This thread is fail. It's just a bunch of random poorly thoughtout ideas that have nothing to do with each other and thrown at a wall to see if they stick. And they don't

How do you mostly fall in the level range? You either are or are not.

Yes at times there is a remarkable lack of enemies to fight. Funny though I clearly remember clearing it more than one time. But maybe I just play at different times too. I generally attribute lack of enemies to several factors. Is it the time of year people are in school? Is it a weekday (i.e people are at work or school)? Is it a holiday and people may be out with family? many factors to consider when saying things are just dead including the off peak hours thing.

I wish I knew the reasoning for them putting the changes into place. If I had to wager a guess. I would say that there were several dead or dieing brackets. They combined them in hopes of salvaging the pvp for those levels. Hence 40-79 WF was created antonica is everything under that and KP is everything over that.

And if it was to cut down on leeching -- that has not worked, even with the small help of getting carnage flagged for doing it. Open pvp should be open. But then its not really open pvp its just "pvp enabled" i guess without having to flag yourself. Never like the mentor thing either, always bugged me that i couldnt defend myself. Personally I think carnage flags are cool and so do alot of people. They did something right when the implemented it. I was like the the afk dock leechers that would flag for BG and run back to the dock, wait for bg to end and get tokens. Same thing except worse before carnage flag. The grays, would attack high levels and let them kill each other and rack up on tokens while doing nothing. The very definition of a leech.

/shrug. For mid-levels, the wfs are awful. And bgs are dead too in off peak hours for those not 30s, 80-90. OFF PEAK HOURS, this is something that is considered an uncontrollable variable. Something that cannot be fixed internally by the company as it completely depenant on end user availablity.
