While it is nice that TSO scaled zones were made to scale up as well, I was curious if there were any plans to change the void shard quests for them to Mark quests for level 90 groups. Right now viod shards are pretty much useless. The dropped gear is compareable to SF legendary loot so I have no real issues there. Is there a 90 TSO fabled drop table btw? I have yet to see fabled drop out of SF zones (aside from masters).

Yes I am aware these are TSO zones, I was just curious if there was any intent to change this or if aside from exp for AA's the void shard quests were going to continue to be useless.

TSO zone quests will always give shards. Cause those quests are completable for those zones as low as level 50. Couldn't have people getting marks from level 50 zones now....

won't happen.

But they could have quests that only update in a level 90 instance.

I like the idea of the quests giving marks, but even more useful would be to change the chest in a level 90 instance to drop either both a shard and a mark or just a mark. Kind of silly to run a 90 zone and get a shard from the chest.

(haven't really tried, but I thought I heard that somewhere).

Umub wrote:

But they could have quests that only update in a level 90 instance.

How? The only barring difference between a level 50 tso zone and any other conned version is simply the levels of the mobs. This would not work. They would have to add in something that spawns a special named or special mob found at the end of the zone or w/e that is particular only to a level 90 conned zone, which would mean they would have to go back and re-code a bit for all the zones and figure out how to add a special update that is only existant in high level zones and not low levels. This response was the implied underlying reason I assumed people would figure out when I first said it.

Not happening.

Not being an EQ2 developer. I wouldn't want to assume what is easy, hard or impossible. They might have a clever and easy way to do this. For example, add a quest update drop that is only in the loot tables for level 90 mobs.

So I'm sticking with this is something I would like to see. I'll let someone at SOE figure out if it's worthwhile and how hard it might be to do.

The quests could be required lvl. At least one SF heritage only give updates from lvl 90 versions of TSO as well, no reason why they couldn't make a mark quest do the same. I don't see that it'd be that big an issue. However, I really don't think they'd bother to do this as well.

I agree totaly with the poster:

TSO dungeons, that scale to 90 should get some quests and repeatable quests tied to them, the same way SF instances have, and the same way we had with TSO 80 dungeons.

This would had content for players at very low cost!

You should really create some new level 90 missions that ask you to go in those TSO dungeons, rewarding Manaars. Bosses should also drop Manaars if you run those intances with a level 85-90 group.

When I look at how many Manaars are needed for yellow adornements + T1/T2 armor sets + jewels / weapons / charms ... It makes me wanna scream ;p

Dominations are a bit tough for me and my guildmates to complete because of dungeon difficulty level (Erudin 3 / Vigilant ...). So this would offer us an other way to get those Marks, highly increasing T9 instances to have fun!

The problem with TSO instances is that scaling is badly tuned, I did mira 3 in February or march, we were 4 with 2 non 90 and we had only some level 90 gear . The group was non optimized at all (fury, warden, sk, zek) It was super easy and we destroyed everything. The T8 Mira 3 was moderate/hard till you got geared a bit.

It seems that by scaling dev mean multiplying the mob dps by 9/8 ...

I wasn't saying these zones are tough, but quite frankly SF isn't difficult either once you know each zone/boss strat. I was simply wondering if the devs had any plans to make these zones not become obsolete or if they were simply going to be discarded like most lower level instances that people only do once for AA as they are leveling with no intent of ever going back. Yes, the TSO zones are super easy and poorly scaled at 90, but still for one mark and 2 useless shards it's no suprise. Most of the mark gear is rediculously overpriced (mark-wise) for the crappy items you can buy with them with exception of the Moonfield Hamlet Fabled instance drop gear (if you are bored enough to save up that many marks).

Btw unless things have changed (since I don't have any toons in the 50-70ish range any more) you can't get the void shard quests for doing the TSO instances scaled down, as well as all the void shard gear is lvl 80, so it's junk by the time you can use it you can get a couple more levels and get MC gear at 82 which for most classes is far superior to viod shard T2 sets.

Nobody has mentioned yet one question I had however, has anyone seen any TSO zones drop lvl 90 fabled items, not Master chests?

TSO zones that scale to 90 are EASY. I easily got 35% higher zone wide parse on my wizard on one of the Loping plains ones. Also, I ran that same one with my Guardian and I was pulling 5-6 groups at a time for the warlock in the group and they were barely hurting me. I have 3 fabled armor pieces and every other jewelery/weapon slot is fabled from instance drops. I'm pretty well geared but by no means do I have great gear.

I'd be the first to jump all over getting marks form the old zones but I seriously doubt that would happen due to the mob difficulty with upward scaling. I'd be running Deep Forge every night in like 5 minutes with a few of my friends.

Just to compare, scaling the zone to 50 the mobs would crush anybody in true level 50 gear. Those zones don't scare right due to buffs and blue stats and such so I can't see them ever giving an easier path for marks.

One the good side, I do have shar mounts for all of my alts...

Wasuna, what you're talking about is just a difficulty scaling issue they should look at.

It has nothing to do with the fact that they just can add Manaar missions for the 90 TSO dungeons !
