Silence not working

<p>Since GU58 and they added the casting bars for mobs, I've noticed that when I have Silence on a mob, they are still capable of casting or using CA's. They seem to just ignore it. Is this as intended or is it bugged?</p>

<p>Does the effect still happen? I notice on my ranger and sk when I stun a mob, the bar keeps going, but the effect doesn't go off. Usually they just recast it however.</p>

<p>From my testing, I think what is actually happening, or what we are seeing at least, is that if you silence them mid cast, they appear to be casting the same spell over, and over, and over, but it doesn't complete - like they have it queed up ready to cast.</p><p>If they are not casting when it lands, they never cast.</p><p>The above are both void when the cast is something scripted or when the spell can be done regardless of status, e.g. coercer's single target mezz.</p><p>It can be hard to tell the difference, but you have to watch the models as well as the bar to know if they are doing something.</p>

I'll have to pour over my logs to see if their spell / ca actually does something. I just know when *I'M* silenced. I can't cast ANYTHING (not even attempt to). It's just very confusing <strong>IF</strong> a mob is actually silenced, why they are still able to cast ... whether their spell / ca works or not.</p>

Only raid so have only cast this on raid mobs. Zero effect vs raid mobs. There may be a rare occasion mob that it might work on, but haven't paid enough attention to it. The spell is in my cast rotation for the attached damage.
