Error 41780 - China

<p>I recently moved to China from the US. After being off EQ2 for about 3 months, I'm settled in here well enough that I'd like to begin playing again.</p><p>However, everytime I try to enter the game I get this "There was an error that prohibited the server from letting you play. Error: 41780" and it won't let me connect. The patcher works, but I can only go as far as the character selection screen. I can't actually enter a game server.</p><p>I'm currently working with Tech Support, but it hasn't brought any success. I'm looking for some outside help.</p><p>FYI:</p><p>I'm not using a VPN (I know this because I own a VPN and I disabled it).</p><p>I'm not using any sort of university or company Internet.</p><p>I've tried disabling my firewall, and it didn't help.</p><p>If someone knows anything, please help me out. <p>I'm getting no help from anyone! Even technical support doesn't want to address this problem! I call them and they just blow me off!</p><p>I've done a lot of research and this has been plaging lots of people living in China. We don't have this problem with other games. Even EQ1 apparently doesn't have this problem. Why is this happening? Don't tell me its my computer, or that its a VPN! ITS NOT.</p><p>This is caused by SOE. I've heard stories from people who have said that they had one account work in China, and another one not work ON THE SAME COMPUTER!</p><p>The Chinese message boards are litered with people complaining about this problem. No wonder the game failed in Asia.</p><p>I'm a longtime subscriber to this game! I'll gladly spend more money on the game if SOE would just address this issue!</p>

<p>OK, they fixed it. Sorry for the rant.</p><p>They had to refer it to the senior technicians, but they solved it. Hopefully this won't be a problem anymore for other people as well.</p>
