Hey,

I was wondering how Bruisers do vs other fighter classes in pvp.. I understand a lot of it is gear based so with about even gear and AA does one class have the advantage over the other?

Also how do both do in pvp vs other classes does one trump the other in being better in pvp?

Thanks for any help.

yes I am trolling but 1 on 1 my dirge has dropped a few bruisers in BG. but that was from the long fight... I die if the bruiser can burst on me before I get all my attack detrimental buffs on( 5 to 6 of them). the gear heals and burst damage are your best against me I make you squishie and have 2 life taps effects.

my 2 coppers

I have a 48 Bruiser in full pvp and I've learned to play him pretty well. An equally geared, equal level Sk or Pally is unbeatable. If you're looking for OPness, in addition to Corydonn, look there.

It's a FUN class, and I wouldn't trade mine for any others, but I sure see a lot of situations where the Crusaders have a significant advantage.

Cory saying Bruisers are OPed has been kinda bugging me when I see it.. as it's on a few forums and over on Flames as well. I get that he's stunning with his, but if he had the same gear/understanding/and time put into a SK, Warden, Warlock or Ranger.. he'd probably be even more devastating. It's the guy, not the class. Bruisers are a solid A- or B+, there are higher grades on some of the other classes.

Again, I'm a Bruiser Main, and love my class. We have ability to do things well beyond just the numbers game, and can be really be terrible on an individual caster or scout.. but we aren't the top of the food chain if you want to start pointing fingers at who and what is most powerful based on (only) Class.

Once you get to 90 all the extra AAs and abilities... Along with better but not the best itemization will turn the tide toward the bruiser's favor in one on ones.

Got enough tokens to outfit myself in full pvp gear when I get there and will start going for the raid gear.

I still don't see how bruisers are OP though.

I am actually pretty [Removed for Content] happy to hear what you're saying about one on one with a SK in 90. Right now, an evenly geared/AAd SK has a significant advantage on me, even though I can often do more in the match to win for the team. It takes a long time, and I can still win if they slip up, but in just pure numbers the Crusader has the advantage.

I do read a lot, and talk with players at 90.. as I'm getting ready to make the push, so I wasn't talking completely out my rear heheh.

But something has been getting me thinking...

You have been saying Bruisers are OPed in a few places lately, and I don't agree with that. Does that seem correct? People always called the F-14 the best weapons platform out there, of its time.

So, at base, Bruisers when specced just right and equipped with the perfect array of gear, can be dominant. That isn't OPed.. that's knowing your stuff. Corydonn has done that, and combined it with Player Skill to be obnoxiously good. That's not an OPed class, though, and I would *strongly* argue that he could do the same with any other class he put the same effort into.

If a proc or two got altered, or another piece of gear rolled out, the entire make up of your itemization gets changed.. and that's not about the class. Again, this is going off things I read, and I'm asking out of curiosity.. would you agree?

My bruiser is 87 at the moment, and I can still kill 90's with him, but there are times when I will just get stomped no matter what I do. It could be because I am still using mostly T8 gear, or I just haven't gotten that strat down, but it happens. My bruiser is a beast, but hes not unstoppable.

as a brawler you hardly need to use any pvp gear. avoidance isn't affected by toughness. i can't beat a decent brawler on my zerk. i can't hit them. they can sure hit me tho.
