Hello. I am interested in trying out EQII. I played Everquest for a few years and then left. I am now wanting to try EQII but have a few questions...

First of all, I do not have a copy of EQII. Is there a way to purchase a downloadable version or will I need to buy a retail copy and install it? I want to try the game for the 30 days free subscription before I upgrade to a 3 month sub plan.

I am not willing to give credit card information unless I know that I am actually going to be able to play. I have reached a spot where it is asking me to give my information but I honestly do not know if I am paying for the game itself or for the subscription. Please help me.

Hello. I'm honestly not sure this is the right place to ask this but I have an answer. There is a downloadable trial you can use. A better alternative is if you have a friend that plays have them send you a refer-a-friend link. make an account with that (neither of these methods require CC info). the perk with RAF is you and your friend get 200% bonus exp when grouped. Also a note to save you the trouble of looking - you won't find a retail box version of the game, at least not with the current expansion I don't think. SoE is going to the download only stage, so you can get it that way. hope that helped, GL.
