Ok, the first thing I am going to tackle is the enigmatic Dogma. This is a wonderful spell and has some great potential but has some confusing points.

According to the description of Dogma:"Whenever the inquisitor casts a beneficial spell on an ally, that ally receives additional health replenishment. A small amount of power is drained from the inquisitor each time the effect triggers."So this sounds like a great spell to have running all the time. But let me explain how it works. For purposes of explanation I will break up the spells as Reactive, Direct Heal, Cure.Reactive: On casting a reactive heal, if the target is not at full health, Dogma will trigger and show up as Convert Ally. If you cast your reactive multiple times, Dogma will trigger multiple times up until the target is at full health. On the trigger of a reactive Dogma will not trigger no matter what the health of the target is at.Direct Heal:On casting a direct heal Dogma will trigger so long as the target is not at 100% healthCure:On casting a cure Dogma will trigger if the target is below 100% health.Dogma is affected by Crits and Crit Bonus. Dogma is not affected by WisdomDogma is affected by PotencyDogma is affected by Ability ModDogma is affected by Shadows End Line abilities Persecution and Redemption of FaithIn short, Dogma is a great way to get additional heals out of your normal spells and triggers on cast only. If the people you are healing are not taking a lot of damage Dogma can be a power drain, but nothing some good power proc gear can't handle. On power draining fights that your group is not taking a lot of damage on, it is really not needed and is best to be left off if you are having power issues. So if you are not having power issues and your group is taking a lot of spike damage, Dogma away, otherwise it is not needed.

Thoughts and opinions are always welcome.

I've put points into Inquest and I have never noticed Dogma eating my power up...even on power drain fights. I'm always above 90% mana and that's with Fanaticism and Yaulp running too.

Try it in a group without a tank, rogue, chanter. I guess your power won't stay above 90%.

This is a good post. I try to remember to take it down:

- if I know I may lose my chanter for an extended period.

- if I am power drained or am revived with no power, I try to take it down before I re-cast inquest, pots, tinkered items, manastone and such. I also try to equip the shield with +12 In-combat power regen from last expac. It's no longer available, but maybe someone can suggest another item that can be switched in in a fight.

- if I know that my inquest target will not in contact with the mob for a significant period of time. (like your tank in the sages fight - or the Twins in Palace ).

In harder content of raids, I usually heal one of the DPS grps (melee or caster) so, I will put inquest on the power regen or tank (even if it optimally would go on another class) - so I can give it to someone whose survivability I can more narrowly focus through other buffs like AoE blocker or Shield ALly, and maintaining a single reactive.

This is just my experience.

IthiusAB

Not that it's in fight.... but there is a PvP earring that has +125 incombat mana regen. Seems nice.
