Ever since the update today my antialaising has not been working. I have not changed any of the settings and even double-checked all of the settings to make sure they were the same.

Are you using Nvidia?

For some reason, sometimes, the Nvidia control panel will suddenly stop recognizing everquest2.exe, even if you re-assign it - so therefore it does not apply the settings. Re-installing the driver should enable the control panel to once again recognize the executable file. (You will of course have to re-assign the executable after you reinstall the driver.)

Let me know if it works for you.

Ara

I've got a 4890 that has had no issues with Oct 12.

Does that mean the 5 series cards and EQ2 don't play nice?

I was thinking about grabbing a 6000 in a couple of weeks to handle some othervideo games I want but don't really want to screw over the times I play EQ2...

Same issue here. I m using a Radeon 5850 and AA is off since the 10/12 update... I tried everything to make it work but no result.

Activating the forced AA option in the advanced settings doesn't help at all. It makes the whole screen VERY blurry but you still can see the staircase effect on edges of your character/landscape... So it's totaly useless.

Experiencing the same issue since GU58 with my ATI 5870. checked eq2.ini for the `r_aa_blit 1, but it's still there. Also the forced graphics driver AA is still enabled, so guess they broke it.

Same issue with 10.9 and fresh install of Windows 7 and a 5770. I thought it was on my end for a few attempts but I figured after checking every setting that it had to be something in the last update.

Give us are smoothies back! Please?

How ever SoE is in bed with the Green team, so maybe the kick backs come when the red team has issues?

I have a 5870 I will try and grab some time to try out my game, was working last Thursday when I played. Never did understand why AA is hard on SoE games.

Well got my AA working again after 14th hotfix:

In ATI Catalyst i have these settings

AA

Level: x4

Filter: Edge-Detect

Samples: 12x

AA Mode

Adaptive Multi-sample AA

AF

x16

AI

Disable Catalyst A.I (UNCHECKED)

Slider at Advanced

Then in my EQ2 Folder removed the line "r_aa_blit 1" from my EQ2.ini

Opened up eq2_recent (this is mine below ive highlighted where the line was "r_aa_blit true") changed that to false, then renamed my EverQuest2.exe to Bioshock.exe. Right clicked to run as admin and worked (only tried it on Fullsceen mode though)

cl_version_recent 18cl_username samplecl_autoplay_world cl_autoplay_world_second epilepsy_warning_seen truecl_ui_skinname Razccl_show_voice_tutorial trueeu_merge_seen truecl_picked_configuration truechat_autoswitch_chat_type truecl_maximized truecl_screenwidth_windowed 1920cl_screenheight_windowed 1054cl_screenposx_windowed_restore_down 63cl_screenposy_windowed_restore_down 130r_performance 7last_selected_char_id 2427452cl_movie_enabled falsets_hotkey_order 0 1 2 3 4 5r_performance 7cl_screenwidth 1920cl_screenheight 1080cl_screenrefresh 60cl_multicore truer_usethreepointoshaders falsecl_refresh_sync truecl_triple_buffer truer_reuse_vertex_buffers trueo_max_farplane 900.000000r_fast_layer_min_distance 100.000000letterbox_frame_visible falser_texture_lodding_shrink 0r_heatshimmer truer_underwaterdistortion truer_splashes 1splash_particles_enabled truer_drawocean_quality 1r_distancetonotrenderreflections 461.600006r_particle_priority 3num_active_spell_results 8r_particlesinreflections truer_particle_lod_scale 0.200000r_point_particle_max_size 0.600000r_personal_torch falser_torch_intensity 0.340000r_torch_secondary_light truer_max_lights 8r_rain_spec truer_max_spec_lights 4r_light_bump_max_distance 25.000000r_min_dir_ambient_intensity 0.130000r_S3LightRange 60.000000r_shadow_type 2r_shadow_quality 2r_shadows_keep falser_ec_max_lod0 6r_ec_max_lod1 60r_min_anim_update_rate 0.050000r_anim_update_start 0.010000r_initial_point_weight 0.950000suspend_mount_mode 0r_flora truestereo_display_enable falser_aa_blit true <-- Changed to falseics_combatautoface falsesound_provider Miles Fast 2D Positional Audiospeakers Headphonesmaster_volume 0.700000music_volume 1.000000combat_music_volume 1.000000voice_volume 1.000000vc_volume 1.000000sfx_volume 1.000000ambient_volume 1.000000resident_sound_volume 1.000000max_active_sounds 48vc_volume 1.000000cl_filter_client_text falser_target_mouse_over_glow 0.000000chatbubble_show_pc_bars_mode 4chatbubble_show_bars_pc_group truechatbubble_show_bars_npc_encounter truetradeskill_showexamine falsecl_use_default_log_file truer_initialized_shader3_ambient true
