You will not be able to purchase and move into a new house if the total number of items you are bringing (old house item count + number of items in old moving crate) is more than the total number of items the new house can hold (new house item limit + new house crate limit).

What's the reasoning behind this change? Especially with the 7 year vet house(600 item limit, I'm reading) coming up, lots of people are going to be moving. My Halas house has a 700 item limit, and is using all 700. Now I can't move unless I place 100 items in my inventory. Granted, it could be considered a minor inconvenience, but it's an inconvenience none the less. I'm just wondering the thought process behind it. Thanks.

We should have a fix coming for this. You will be able to move, but you just won't be able to place anymore items until you bring your total item count down to the new house limit.

I could take my house right now, and move to a lower item house. Everything is in my crate, and I can place items in my crate, just nothing new. Thanks for the quick response, by the way.

(600 house / 600 crate) because they are now seperating placed item count from moving crate item count so that what's in the crate doesn't count against the number of items you have placed in the house. It currently reads as adding house item count and moving crate count, and that the resulting number will be the limiting factor.

That's a total of 1,200 items. So, if you are moving from your current house and you have all 700 items you'll still be under the new limit by 500. The reason is until the patch goes live tomorrow you can't have 700 in your house AND 700 in your crate. Currently you are allowed only 700 whether they are all in the crate or all in the house or some of each. However, after tomorrow you can have 700 placed, 700 in crate because they'll have individual item counts. In that case, assuming you had both full and had 1,400 items total you couldn't move into the crag until you had less than 1,200 items total between placed items and crate items.
