Hello,I use a wireless device to connect to a router. Recently, my connection has been quitting periodically, about every 10-15 minutes or more, when I am in game. I seem to lose connection to the internet for about 30 seconds to one minute. I can see my character in game for a few seconds not able to access anything, then it kicks me to character select. As soon as I am in character select, my connection resumes. This loss of connection only happens during gameplay, not during any other internet activity. These are the solutions I have tried:- switching routers to test if it was a router problem- switched from dsl to cable had no effect (I recently moved, the prob followed me)- I tried a new wireless card- I tested all my usb ports to make sure they were fully functional- I tried connecting to the internet directly through modem via the ethernet port, so it can't be a wireless problem- I disabled firewall, antivirus, and zone alarm- All my drivers are up to date- I uninstalled, then reinstalled the game

This ONLY happens when I am in eq2. I know my isp is not the problem, as this was happening before I moved. My speeds here are also great. Our other computers have no connection issues. I am using windows 7 and my video card is geforce 7600 gt.Have you heard of a problem like this before? Please help! Thanks

To see if it is dropping your internet connection or just losing connectivity itself play streaming audio from an internet site in the background while playing the game. If the music quits when eq2 quits it is most likely the connection dropping and not just the game losing connectivity. That will help narrow down the issue a little.

Silat

Well, pandora will stream during the interval, however I am not able to navigate the web in a browser. Sometimes streaming music will survive a hiccup in connection though. I don't understand. I thought somehow bandwidth was a problem, but I'm able to play 3 shows from hulu simultaneously, flawlessly, on this computer and more from the other computer. But I can't get more than 10 mins at a time out of eq2 lol.

You are right about streaming buffering sometimes. When you try to navigate a browser does it instantly say no connection or website not found or whatever is normal for your browser...or does it try to find it for a little while and then fail?

Silat

Tries for 5-10 secs then fails
