Bleh at the PvP flag being turned on, but thanks for the heads up.

Season 2 BG armor sounds exciting.

Thanks for allowing the PvP community the time and chance to test the changes coming our way.

What about Low Tier BG weapons and other missing slots in Low Tier BG merchants? Annoying to come up against someone who CAN fill those slots when I CAN'T

"so come play on PVP" but then I can't twink my other toons with BG gear, just like you PVP folk do... forgive the heck out of me for not rolling on the right server before PVP even existed.

Will we be able to copy our toons over from the live servers? And if so what is the syntax as I have forgotten.

Please don't forget to turn it back to PVE when you are done - that was awful last time when it stayed PVP for a very extended period of time.

Or an item with heal/cast stats instead of haste or "procs a heal on a ranged attack" that i can't use, but have to have for a set bonus.

We will need 1 week probally through the weekdays so a few friends can log in on off times and test them out much more effectively. I'll be working to test also when my toon gets copied over

Xalmat wrote:

Season 2 BG armor sounds exciting.

What would actually be exciting would be some new battlegrounds zones. Somehow when we had the handful of RoK instances we were happy then we got spoilt with the dozen or more from TSO. Now the dozen or more SF instances are boring coz i've done them all more than half a dozen times. The same 3 battleground instances got boring and became a tedious grind after about a week and so 6 months later... season 2 BG armor sounds like a pointless tedious grind thru the same three same old battlegrounds.

When will there be some new battlegrounds zones? I'm guessing when we pay for them next February.

The new immunity changes might encourage subscribers with older, slower computer systems into giving up on open-PVP - no temporary immunity on zoning means it will be easy to farm updates from slow zoners who will see their screens clear to a revive window.

On busy nights during primetime, zoning can sometimes take a very long time. So far, this adjustment doesn't appear to enhance PVP competition in that respect.

Any clues for when all the new PVP changes will be patched in? There are no new items on merchants yet.

Edit: re-reading the original PVP change list, I see there is supposed to be a 60s immunity countdown for zoning, but that is not happening as immunity is gone on zone-ins or revives.

With functional 60s countdown, there will only be 30s of freebie hits for spawn camp farmers on revive sick players, but still at least time to call out.

Ok, new hour, new feedback :

- I wasn't able to find the towers in Antonica but that may be because of the crashing bugs (when a zone crashes, the towers disappear it seems. I wasn't able to find those in EL before)

- In EL, FP tower is west of the docks, Q tower is east of the docks. I found it strange that the statues have a buff preventing out-of-range players to attack them BUT can't be targetted if you're out of said range. Is this intended ? It makes kind of sense but as there have a buff preventing a high level player to kill them (or a too low level player), I don't understand why I couldn't target them. Tower guards are level 69 which I find too high. If 69 is the max level, seeing the whole lot of HP those statues have, I would put them at level 55 or so, in the middle of the range, so level 40 players can play too!

- I answered my previous question, aka: no, you can't go to a warfield if you're above the level, even mentored. I can't really comment on that point because I'm not used to PvP, but as the mentoring systems is making players far more powerfull when mentored, it makes sense.

- In KP, the FP tower is near Jarsath, the Q tower is near Chardok. Guardians are 89++ heroic. Solo, as a 83 player in level 80 mastercrafted BG gear, I droped 20% of one statue in 5 minutes. Seems that those have a whole bunch of HP. I'm not sure of the level those statues should have. I would say 89 is nice as it targets the level 90 players. So, contrary to the EL tower, I would suggest letting the statues at 89, at least until a level raise or the addition of new warfields in other zones.

EDIT : next round, found the Antonican towers : good tower at -304, -14, -490, evil tower at -1598, -2, -699 (another at -1865, -17, 632)Statues prevent you from hitting them if you're 40+ or 10-. Once more the statues are ++ heroic and level 39. I would suggest reducing the level to 25 so low level chars can attack them successfully. As a level 19 I was missing all my hits (of course) so it will be very frustrating for lowbies.

How many swings are in Multi Attack? In Advanced Combat Tracker (ACT) on the live server my DA is at 113% and every swing is a DA. On Test with the same 113% Multi Attack it appears to hit 50% or less. How is it calculated?

2) The new PvP round shields are secondary/ranged slot items. Ranged slot, is that correct? Does that mean all us duel wielders can still use two weapons and leave the shield on our back instead of a bow or bandolier?

I think they need more hp. My dirge in full t3 gear was able to solo the 4 outer guards / pvp with an sk and some grey scout twice, as well as another dirge in a little over 7 minutes. I think there was some ranger there too but he wasn't helping much. The warfield ended before I could finish off the middle guy. If the warfields on nagafen are tons of people, I think they should have maybe 5 million hp minimum as opposed to their current 2.4, I would even suggest 8 million.

But I'm just some bluebie, so...

I am not a poster but this obvious lack of thought or planning from SOE really has me doubting thier capacity to fairly make changes. Almighty devs givith the group cure to all healers and now they have to nerf the group cure by extending it's reuse. Not only the spell, but they went ahead and added the inquizy myth clicky in the nerf too. They also lessened the amount of effects the clicky can cure (DOUBLE BAM!)! Abzurd, this is obviously lazyness on their part and what I belive to be a major mistake. Now, originally, I wasn't crazy about giving all healers the group cure because it is my opinion that it was inquizy defining. I was able to live with it because, well, we still had our Mythical cure. Our clicky is what made the inquisitor a viable healer in raids/pvp, no body complained (too much). The reason is because we are slow casters and the group cures complimented that fact. Well, not any more... Leave the "Clicky" alone! Give it back. The real problem in pvp was the inabilitiy of doing any real damage due to how toughness worked. 100% damage reduction with a full set of pvp gear just made toons crazy strong. With this update, sony changed that and made "everyone" less uber. No more solo beasts holding off numbers of the enemy. I've seen mages, fighters, and healers (I was one) survivings with 6 or more toons pounding on them. I was getting killed left and right and was forced to get pvp gear to survive and then I became a wall. I think the toughness change was a fair attempt to even the field because it effected everyone. I think the group cure nurf was semi fair because it affected all healers. Messing with the Inqisitor Mythical ability is not fair. It is a nurf to a defining ability that makes the inquisitor less viable as a healer. Breejaree, Bree VOX
