I bought Sentinel's Fate on D2D, and installed it. I already have an EQ2X account, but didn't have an EQ2 Live one. I though I thought I'd get 30 days of EQ2 Live sub, but from the subscription info on my station account it shows 14-days. Still, I figured I'll try Live to test some more character combinations.

I remember someone mentioning on the EQ2X forum that he managed to get his EQ2 Live install to work with EQ2X without downloading everything, so I figure it's just as easy the other way round. The only problem is I can't find that post. Anyone knows how I can do that?

Thanks!

I may be wrong, but I think the thirty days free is for new accounts. New accounts by SoE's standards are new usernames so if you opened the account using your EQ2X username I htink you're out of luck. You could call CS to see if they can do anyhting to help you out.

Welcome to live

When you move over your EQ2Live install data files to EQ2X, it actually converts them to the EQ2X format... I don't think the process works in reverse.

I would suggest contacting customer service and explain you accidentaly entered your product key into eq2x and you wanted to open a new account on eq2 live service. Hopefully they can move it over to a new live account for you so you can get your 30 days free and play the game on the real servers.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, my purpose was to save time (and possibly space, if I could just move the files between the versions). Unfortunately just installing the EQ2 launcher I get a communication error, so I didn't go through with anything else. I guess I'll just stick to EQ2X for now.
