How about some fancy new guild cloak designs - in-game - for NO station cash?

Okay, I am a huge sucker for runes. I love runes. So I snagged the cloak JUST for the rune effect... Is there any way this could get a weeee bit of love? As it stands, the runes are somewhat pixelated... For example, the Tome of Knowledge has like, the coolest rune effect EVER! They're crisp and clear...

Though they are fun to watch. After they spin around for a while, they start to get unevenly spaced, and I ended up with two runes on top of each other, so it just looked like 3 runes...

I am glad that the art team has tons of time to make more stuff to sell to us. Will the art team be designing anything for us that does not cost sc any time soon? I know they say in velious it will come. Well that is 6 months away at the earlist and if this last expansion is any clue as to what will happen, I have serious doubts.

You guys are putting out some very cool looking stuff, an alternate way to get some of it would be nice. Even if it is a long hq style quest it would be nice to have a second way we could invest to get stuff.

Oh well. Do what you do best. Make it for SC.

There's two threads: one in the Homeshow forum and one in the In-Testing forum about this. Oh, and a lot of the Kingdom of Sky quests are having housing items added as rewards--I bet an artist or two worked on those. The revamp to Greater Faydark also is having several house item rewards added in, hmmm, maybe an artist did those too? Not to mention all of the neat Nights of the Dead craftable goodies and new rewards for past (and the newer) quest.

Seriously, everyone has heard this speal over and over, and it's getting old.
It's true, but we have been begging for new guild cloaks for years now and Marketplace still gets WAY more new items. With new looks. Not looks that are just taken from the existing world. Because, even if those new NoTD or KoS items are great, they were still existing artwork from the world. So even if it took some time to get those items from the zones, it's not newly created stuff out of nowhere.

New rooms in the cities or those new doors are new artwork and the team did an amazing job for those. But it's just some artwork for a GU, not totally-new-artwork-for-each-week-new-SC-things-to-sell-for-real-$$$

Not going to argue that point. I hope they do work that in soon as well.

I just don't like when people (not saying you, just in general!) attack the art team who has been working their rears off lately on Game Update stuff.

No thanks, just looking...

Price points are -still- not representative of micro-transactions, especially when I'm paying a monthly subscription fee.

There's no tin foil hat here, only facts..... New cloaks with designed that don't totally suck only on SC. I remember last expansion I would check every cloak in the dressing room when they dropped. The two I currently wear on my raider are both from last expansion and are pretty cool. This expansion I'm still in the habit of checking every cloak, and even the raid fabled cloaks that are dropping are TERRIBLE.... I mean there is no effort put into them which is clearly on purpose. With that said, I'm OK with putting some cool cloaks on SC for Sony to rip a few more hard earned dollars out of our pockets so they can ruin the Live servers by killing our only chance at getting new blood in with EQ2Extendz. I've come to terms with that.... Would it kill them to maybe put a couple of cool looking dropped cloaks in game?

(I'd include top tier heroic reward or epic reward but I'm hoping someone would be able to prove me wrong by linking some rare drop)

Hooray! I finished a quest in SF. I bet it's a dull brown or kinda green something that looks exactly like what the last quest gave me. How exciting!

As far as I've seen, and as hard as it is to believe, this last expansion was the absolute worst as far as art goes. Everything looks exactly the same...oh, but we get that marketplace update almost weekly showing what new crap can be purchased for real money. The sad part is that too much of that is also just new colors on old skins.

/rant off

Oh my god, the T1 Raid robes = /puke The WoE mage armor was pretty cool, Jarsath Robe of Royalty pretty cool.... Even the common drop robe off of trash in RE the Gathering I wore for a while, Robes of gathering I think? Why do fabled T9 mage robes look like a clown suit? BTW, the Dark Elf Heritage armor is pretty cool. I would think there would be some kind of half way decent looking gear off of raid drops. Oh ya, you have to earn that with your skill and not your wallet.
