Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions on how to remedy?

I'm having the same issue. Pre-patch: no problems. Post-patch: if I enable voice, everything works for a few minutes, then my client crashes. Without the voice enabled, no problems.

i've been having problems with voice since the patch, too. i sent in a ticket but never got a response (other than it would be forwarded to the techs & that was several days ago).

my problem is slightly different. i am regularly kicked out bc the voice server crashes. i'd rather that than crashing the game but would prefer that neither happened.

Last ... month or so voice have become more and more flakey.

Switching toons will more often than not render voice chat bugged. Ie you cant join channels, if your invited to a group the channel simply doesnt show in the channel list. If you get a manual voice invite (/voice invite <char> ) you will join briefly (maybe for 500 milliseconds) and then get kicked out with a 'invalid password' errror.

You can make your own hcannels and invite others, which USUALLY works.

On occassion you can disable voice chat, hit accept, wait a short while, enable voice chat and MAYBE it fixes it.. or it crashes.

Have been like this for at least the last 3-4 weeks.

Wont even get into how badly it behaves if your running multiple accounts on the same computer... but that seriously messes it up.

I would need to see a full crash log to have a better understanding of what is happening. Do you have one you can send me?

For those having the same issue as me, looks like it's a bug with the voice chat tutorial trying to run. A fix is supposed to go out on Tuesday, but in the mean time you can add this to your eq2.ini file:

cl_show_voice_tutorial 0

This will disable the voice chat tutorial and should allow you to enable voice chat successfully.

Thank you Rothgar!
