Alright so I am trying to play everquest 2 extended however soon after getting into the world my wireless Linksys WRT54G2 says limited access and eq2 disconnects and I am unable to browse the internet so basically I am disconnected from the internet. When I click on network and sharing center it says that it can not find any wireless networks. Unplugging the router and modem do not allow me to reconnect but restarting of the computer does.

I updated the firmware when it first happened but it did not fix the issue I also set up a static imp address and port forwarded the ports the website port forward said too. I am running it as admin and in compatibility mode for xp sp2. I have all firewalls disabled as I understand they are not needed with a router installed as it basically acts as a firewall. I also have disabled the virus software none of it fixes this issue. It is not a interference issue for 100% sure. Plugging it directly into the router is not a option.

I am pretty sure I have done most of the fixes I could find on this site so I am at a loss as to what is causing this. I do not normally have internet connections while playing everquest or wow and I play one of the two listed previously A LOT. So I am pretty much positive it is not a connection issue in of itself it has something to do with Everquest2 and the settings I have somewhere.

I have a normal account but for eq2 that I hadn't played in a while but I wanted to pop back in and see what's going on.

Does this happen during the operation of the LaunchPad or after the game is launched? There are separate networking stacks in use, so it would be helpful to figure out which one to examine.

-dan

It happens once in the game.

Of note I dont use the station launcher for it I use the little eq2 extended icon to launch the game. If I try to use the station launcher it sends me to the reactivate part for eq2. I use the launcher for eq1 with no problems though.

This condition is happening within game code - not the LaunchPads - LP1, Station Launcher (LP2) or LP3.

-dan
