Total newb to game and ....

<p>I'm not expert on healer classes, but since no one has responded and you want to solo, PLUS have the ability group heal. I would go with a Fury. But I could be wrong, I guess it could be summed up as WHAT is the best healing class for DPS/HEAL?</p><p>You could always make a few and run em up to 20 just to get a feel for how they play. I plan on doing that myself as I wouldn't mind having a healer to use at some point as I have avoided them thus far.</p>

<p>I wish I'd have seen this when you posted... lousy work... lol.</p><p>When it comes to heals, you should have no problem finding a group... generally from my experiance most groups will take any healer as a primary/secondary so long as they don't have that same class already... even then I've known a few groups to run with two of the same class.</p><p>As for solo-ing... I'd stay away from Defilers and Templars... they don't have a high DPS output compared to the other classes. They have some powerful healing-related stuff though, offsetting thier lack of DPS.</p><p>The other poster was correct about Furies... they are great healers with insane ammounts of DPS.</p><p>As a personal preferance I prefer solo-ing my inquis over my other four healers. Melee spec'd I can put out damage, my heals, paticuarly the reactives keep me alive... then top that off with plate armor for extra mit...</p><p>I won't go into every healer or lots of detail, but if you'd like, shoot me a PM and I'll answer your questions to the best of my ability. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>I enjoy any input on this topic as well. I have never played a healing class and figured with having a few open alt slots I might as well roll one for fun. I am in the same boat and keep making one, playing a little and deleting. Fury is the one I have held onto but the idea of having a melee healer that DPS + Plate is very interesting. I was just afraid the healers that got plate put out zero DPS. I am going to try out and inquisitor today, it sounds like they could be very fun!</p>

<p>Created a Fury last night. I honestly didint play him for too long but I  was impressed with what I saw. They seem like a very interesting class to  play and I will try him out for a little while. Thanks again !</p>
