I'm part of a raiding guild who's managing raid loots with a custom developed program parsing logs files. It has been working great for a couple of years, but we are currenlty facing 2 issues:

Number of loots per raid exploded compared to previous tiers. We have already been logging thousands of loots since february.

Whenever I miss a raid (which doesn't happen that often), another guildy needs to send me his massive log file.

I'm not convinced that the guild points system is that much used at the moment, mainly because it's not tied to loots. I was wondering if it could be possible to either repurpose this tab or add a new tab to the guild window to manage loots based on 3 simple actions:

Raid leader/Guild leader/Added Looter has access to an Enable/Disable button to start/stop listening to Guild Fabled loots.

Whenever a guildy loots a fabled item, if listening is enabled, this event is logged in this tab (in a similar way to normal events)

At the same time, every guildy from the raid to which belongs the looter gets a one point increase and the looter gets a loot increase in an additional column.

The idea is to be able to visualize for each user the number of loots and the number of presence tokens of a given timeframe (last week, last month, last 3 months).

It would probably not fit all guilds requirements, but it would provide a much bigger benefit than the actual points system.

In this tab, designated people (selected via guild rank), such as leaders and officers depending on what the leader wants, can decide whether to:

A) Discard the loot (no DKP adjustment made)

B) Put an amount of DKP on the loot (and this will remove the item from the list and deduct the points from whoever it is, with the item name in the notes)

C) Leave it for review at a later date. If the RL wants to leave the loot tab to the next day because he/she simply CBA with it at the time, he/she can look through the logs and put the right amount of DKP in.

Plenty of other ways, such as each time an item is looted, the RL (and looters if there are any) gets a popup asking for amount of points.

I once created a program that would even log the amount of DKP bid on an item (my guild leader would say aITEM.../a Vuetee, 100 when assigning it), it's not hard to track (although it does require consistancy and structure to the bidding if your raid leader doesn't do that when assigning the item).

They could also provide a bidding interface for each item in the loot table, so when a chest is opened, players get an overview of the item and can bid on an item, and this can then be administrated by the RL. It would also save a lot of time looting....

But regardless, I think you posted in the wrong section matey .
