Did you make any recent changes to graphic settings such as screen resolution?

I've seen a similar issue with this game and other games. If your screen resolution was changed to be too large or too small then the game can crash when trying to load. Normally it should reset itself to a default resolution.

Nope, the only thing new I've done is install EQ2.

Sometimes my video drivers stop responding, and it happened when I was playing the game. Now EQ2 cant even open, it's the only game that I can't play after this error.

Do you have the newest version of your video drivers and what card are you running?

I guess I would try resetting EQII to the lowest graphics settings and see if it launches, or if you can launch it in a window.

I checked Nvidia's site and it looks like they released drivers on 7/09/10. Ver. 258.96 I'm not sure if your updated to these drivers yet or not.

Another thing you can try is deleting the eq2_recent.ini, eq2_default.ini, EverQuest2.exe, and the Cache folder in the Everquest II directory. Be sure to backup these folders before you delete them. Let the patcher download new files and see if the game launches. You can also try running a full scan using the patcher to see if that picks up any abnormal files. I have had some luck with this in the past but that is usually if it's a problem with a game setting.

I updated drivers about a week ago, but after the driver stopped working yesterday I DLed it again and reapplied it, we'll see how long it works I guess... Thanks for the help, I've reinstalled and streamed most of the game already.
