I'm sure this has been posted before, but I've never put my 2 cents in so here goes... I know it's possible to beat another team without a healer but possible doesn't mean probable, I'm SICK TO DEATH (no pun intended) of getting Gears of Klak groups with NO healers! $OE really needs to fix whatever [Removed for Content] formula they use to build a group! it needs to START with a healer for EACH group, if it can't get one and build a group around it then the round shouldn't start! There is NOTHING more frustrating than a whole round of getting the [Removed for Content] beat outta you with a less than 1% of winning because the other team has a healer, sometimes 2, or even 3 on rare occasions and you have NO HEALS AT ALL!

But if the healer doesn't accept the match or if he fails to move over for some reason, there's not much we can do about that once the match has already started.

Allowing people to queue for 2 maps instead of only 1 or all ought to help some with that. Would at least stop a lot of the cases of people signing up for all when they want 2 and declining offers for the one map they don't want.

Well I still say it's screwy and not working right, cause I just had another match where there were 5 of us (no heals), and actually 2 warlock (another besides me), and what does it give us? Another warlock! Isn't it "weighted" so that if it sees the group makeup doesnt have a healer that it should flag that you need any of that class BEFORE any others are let in? I mean seriously how freakin hard is it to program that? I'll admit i'm no game programmer but I did take enough of the basics of it to know you can set it so that something like: IF <groupmember1-5> <Class> /= healer archtype THEN flag for ONLY a healer. Now I know its a LOT more complex than that with a lot more variables and crap thrown in there to muck it up, but the basic principle remains the same. This happens WAY, WAY, WAY, too often for anyone Dev or otherwise to be able to convince me that it's just a simple random disconnect of the healer every now and again...

I know I wouldn't.

I wouldn't want to wait forever either. I normally do not have this problem because Kytlyn groups with me when we do Battlegrounds, but once in awhile I log in alone and get a team without healers, but I would rather have that than waiting. I usually only have an hour to get a couple of games in, if I have to wait its reduced to one game or none.

While I doubt the wait would actually be an hour with the number of people that play BGs, I would gladly wait up to 5 minutes for a search rather then getting placed in a game with relatively no chance of winning, it's one thing to be the underdog, it's a whole different situation entirely when you don't have any chance at all. And the 2nd point I was talking about wouldn't delay the game at all (the example where I started with 5 others and we ended up getting a 3rd warlock to fill the group's last spot), It would merely provide a turnaround point in the match where if the 6th person is a healer (like the program should be looking for) that if the rest of the team is good enough you could rally and make a comeback, i've managed to do it with groups i've had several times, but not with getting a 3rd copy of a class we already had 2 of =(

There may not be "much you can do about" it when people don't accept the match, but you can certainly address one of the major reasons they decline in the first place.

I think they had three mezzers, two warlocks, and a scout. They tore us apart. It was miserable lol any time the relic dropped we were mezzed, and the warlocks were dealing out so much dps we could not get near the person with the relic. Felleyes was one of the warlocks. It was a fun game, but frustrating. lol I always prefer to see Fell on my team. :p I believe this was the match that caused my deep hatred of mezzers (I don't really hate you guys, only when you are on the other team. :p)

I really think allowing players to fill a checkbox for which maps they'd like to queue for might solve this - a lot of players will just queue for first available and keep declining gears until they get smugglers or ganak, for example.
