Anyone got any? I just hit 22 and lost a fight to an assassin with 2 pieces of pvp gear, and the rest trash, and i had all master-crafted sept for rings ears and neck, and master scrolls 17-22. He resisted a ton despite me having masters, and i couldn't ever see him when he cloaked despite having see invis on. Which is ridiculous considering we are identical lvls.

For scouts you need see stealth. You can get see stealth totems at the broker.

I forget exactly what reactives you have at 22, I think you only have the melee reactive? Get a melee pet and/or a fast swinging weapon to trigger that. Learn to use your stifle/stun spells. Work on your casting order. Get as many AA as you can. Go down Agi/Int and Coercive healing to up your reactives. Tanisha is a good line as well. Pvp will get easier once you get your spell reactives.

I have a 90 assasin and 67 coercer on nagafen and my $.02 is this...1. Get to level 28, without destructive mind you are toast2. With the high level of resists available on bg / pvp armor you need master level spells... at your level you can probably fully master within a few days?3. You gotta debuff him, even with master level spells, get him squishy -- tashiana as mentioned above is great4. Put an aa pt or two in charm... make sure its master, and carry a tank type pet5. He will have his stifle max'd out (duration), and he will want to stifle you ... move away from him, back away preferably, while that's on you...having said that... Predators carry really sharp pointy things and chanters don't have great physical mitigation early on. Its a tough fight for a chanter in these days of the nerf'd mez duration.

At Level 22 you have no hope of surviving that encounter no mattter if he doesn't resist or not. You won't get Hostage until 23 and Hostage is the melee reactive spell that when you cast it on a mob and then they are hit with a melee weapon they take damage. At higher levels Hostage plus Puppetmaster is what Coercers use to blow people up. At 22 you just can't do it.

At 28 you get Destructive Mind. When you get this create a macro and put your name in the little box that says "target" because you will always cast this on yourself, even in groups. Once it is on you, every time you land a spell your target takes damage.

I was also suprised to see that coercers don't get Spell Curse until level 40. That is your other main nuke and works just like Hostage. Cast it on a mob and while it is active and a spell lands on them then they take extra damage. Lots of it too.

But for survival in your 20s try to max out the Agility line in the KOS tree for Perpetuality, but then if you have points left over you should put as many as you can in the EOF tree in Medusa Gaze, Root, Ego Shock and Stupefy to maximize how fast they cast and how hard they are to resist.

But for a second let's say you get up to 24 and get Hostage as your Master 2 choice and you stay there. Let's assume that you have any kind of melee pet that is charmed and your See Stealth Totems give you a heads up that he is coming and you get the first shot in. Make sure you have Enraging Demeanor on this pet so that he has extra agro that can be used on mobs. Tank pets have a Hunker Down buff on them that if it goes off in PVP forces the player to target your pet - and roots them - instead of you for a short time. And that can make all the difference. Then at level 24 try this order:

Mez Debuff with Obliterated Psyche (assuming you don't have enough AA to get Tashiana). As long as you don't have a proc that goes off when you cast a spell this debuff won't break your mez.Root - which is also a daze that prevents auto attackMedusa Gaze - which is Damage and a Stun.-- while he is stunned Cast Hostage and send in your MELEE PETSilence - your stifle. Works best on casters since assassins can still auto attack while stifled, but he should be stunned by Medusa Gaze stillThen do Brainshock, Hemorage and Asylum. When all of your control effects break, or he breaks them for you, the second he is in melee range hit BLINK. it is a deagro that forces him to clear his target.By now his immunity to Daze Effects should have worn off so try EGO SHOCK for another daze and then Stupefy for another stun.Immune to root should be off by now so Re-Root and back way upIf he is still alive cycle through your fast casting spells again: Hemorage, Brainshock and Asylum.

I can't imagine any assassin at level 22 would still be alive after all that and quite possibly they may never get a single hit in on you.

But it's all about resists and who gets the drop on whom. so get these spells at Master level and you should be okay.

Without track you are also prone to getting ganked, so if you haven't done it already, assign a key to Target Nearest PVP. This can be found in your Options>Targeting menu. I have mine assigned to my right mouse button so my hand is always on it. When you are out and about in dungeons or overland where you expect PVP just constantly be clicking this button and whenever PVP comes near you they will be targeted immediately even if you never see them. I swear I have carpel tunnel from doing this, but it's worth it.

When someone pops on your screen that way hit that Mez button right away and start your cycle.

And for everyone else reading this: commence tearing this post apart, which I am sure is coming.

Seeing as a lot of chanter dps comes from melee, and in pvp the reach works, you should focus on str line if you're short a ton of aa's.

On my coercer I went on a 553 kill solo run with only 61 aa's at level 45, and they were spread like this;

str line- 4 - 9 -9 -+endline

agi line- 4 - ?-?(either 10/8 or the other way around i dont remember at this moment, one helps more than the other)-+endline

then i upgraded the reactives and dispell. If you don't group much the coercive healing is worthless, and tashiana is down a line that early on wont help you that much at all.

What I always did in a fight was -

Mes/root (whichever didn't get resisted)

oblit psych

dispell

hostage > dest mind > spell curse (at this point the mes breaks)

and as they would come at me i'd use asylum > counter blade > egoshock > the interupting ca you get from str line aa (sorry names are slipping me right now) > medusa's gaze >>brainshock>silence>**dest mind>hostage>spell curse> quickspam spells

If they weren't dead by then than I wasn't going to kill them, because that with perpetual motion takes about 8 seconds to get off, and triggers all of your big hits in a span of like 4 seconds. Used to love the shock of people grouped with me to see some orange sk drop like he wasn't even wearing gear. if ** get's back up it's been like 15 seconds, so it's just pretty much scrolling through what you've already cast again, you keep them pretty much locked out of at least half of their dps the whole time.

And for real lulz get yourself healing adorns on your primary, secondary, and ranged. They proc for both MELEE and SPELL and with the str line/agi line you're doing a lot of both.
