Returned to the game....rolled an Illy...have I made a mistake?

I chose the class as my mate rolled a necro (dam i wanted it) and we have a temp mentoring us.</p><p>I dont want to play a tank but I want a class who can solo very well and offer something to a grp.</p><p>Do I re-roll and play something else, as im seeing a lot of illy bashing at high lvls</p></span></p>

<p>I have a 90/90/203 Illy. IMO Illy rocks in solo and group.  I dont raid so can not speak to that.</p><p>adding, for solo make sure your Sub is high as possible, you will need it. and for groups getting your power regen up is not a bad idea. becomes more important on long fights.</p>

<p>You are virtually guaranteed a raid slot and can be courted by many guilds if raiding is appealing to you, equally you should be quite popular with groups.</p><p>Illy buffs are still mostly good (moreso in less uber geared groups too as fewer stats are capped) - just their dps hasn't kept pace with the leaps everyone else made this expac.</p><p>You do end up casting quite a lot of buffs after any deaths, and have to push/click a lot of keys fast and possibly use a range of good macros to get theier dps - but that is true of any combat art casting class who also have quicker casts.</p><p>If you don't care so much about being high on the parse list, you should be okay, - hopefully some of the dps and rebuffing issues will get some attention soon.</p><p>People experiencing the change of what their illy could do last expac compared to this expansion, are rightly [Removed for Content] off, however as you haven't, you might find you enjoy it just fine.</p>
