Character Copy Token (from Test Copy to Extended Alpha server) is now available for testing

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">On the 'Test Copy' server you can now purchase for FREE off the Marketplace a "Character Copy Token" which will allow you to transfer your character from Test Copy over to the Extended Alpha server (this is for testing purposes only).</span></p><p><span style="color: #ffffff;">The copy will follow the restrictions outlined in the EQ2 Extended FAQ:</span></p><p><a href="http://everquest2.com/free_to_play/extended_faq">http://everquest2.com/free_to_play/extended_faq</a></p><p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Your character is copied over with all combat, AA and tradeskill experience intact. You also keep your ATTUNED and NO-TRADE items, as well as all your backpacks, but your use of such items will be restricted by your <em>Extended</em> membership tier. However, nothing else is copied over including coin. Please note that this process copies your character, your <em>EQII</em> live character will remain, as is, on its <em>EQII</em> live subscription server.</span></p><p><span style="color: #ffffff;">This token will be testable until Mon 16th at 7am which is when the Extended Alpha server will be brought offline.</span></p><p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Please report any issues you come across in this thread.  Thanks!</span></p>

<p>After several attempts with various toons not seeing the tokens, it appears that the token does not show up when you are inside a guildhall or house since you cannot transfer a toon when inside. </p><p>Don't know why that didn't click right away in my brain, since on live when I tried to transfer a toon while in my house I got a message telling me I couldn't, I should have known why lol</p>

Copy token would not appear while in the Scale Yard (Freeport city) zone either. Copy warning reads "After that time, you may log into DOUBLEMINT and play your copied character."

<p>Why can you not see the copy or transfer tokens while inside a building or certain zones?</p><p>After coming here and seeing this thread, I zoned outside of a guild hall. Lo and behold, there are the tokens. Copy was quick and painless. But after seeing how much gear, house items, etc that are stripped from a character, and the inability to use TSO AA tree and beyond, or access to any zones beyond Kunark, I will not be partaking in this service when it goes live.</p>

I can understand having to be outside housing or guild halls to actually use the items, but not to show up on the market place unless "outside" just seems a bit odd.</p>

It did not show up for me in the Scale Yard either, which is a public zone... you may want to verify where the item is/isn't showing up and working. It would be more customer-friendly if you simply handled this condition during the transfer process. Would it not be possible to simply place someone's character somewhere neutral (like their home city) for all copies rather than try to position them where they were at the time of the copy? I would rather copy with notice that I'm going to be teleported to my home city rather than try to figure out how to get the token to even show up in the marketplace window to begin with.

<p>I made a woodelf assassin and copied her to the Alpha server. She transfered fine with Gold access and used her bank and bags, joined chat channels etc.</p><p>After camping her out and back in however, she has been downgraded to Bronze access. If trying to use chat, bags, bank etc she is told she has to upgrade for that.</p><p>I am still able to log her in and play her though, despite a combination of class/race that isn't available to Bronze.</p><p>The character is on a different account from this one, and that account has been left at Bronze plan, if that wasn't clear. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </p>
