Hi, theres a lot of debated, class specific requests (ie remove toughness, dont, rebalance, etc) but OVER and OVER I hear everyone crying out for:

GEARS: put it back the way it was, more strategy and teamwork, less cluster *** stupidity and mouse button mashing in the middle while everyone tries to exploit targeting system weaknesses by standing on the relic when it pops in the SAME PLACE OVER AND OVER (who thought of this, really?). This is the number one complaint I hear, and so far unanimous. Im sure theres someone here that will dissagree, there always is, but Ive yet to meet em. Its really hard to find a group for this one, everyone refuses to do it because nobody enjoys it anymore.

GANAK: damage proc on the flag. lowers advantages gained by geometric exploites, ends the get-and-sit experience, and over all stirs things up a bit. Not too short, though, mabye target 3 grabs per game.

DEN: allow raid wide voice chat, tells within raid, and some system of re-assigning raid leader (VERY common to get a raid leader who doesnt do any organizing or read chat, and you see spamming in /raid PUT A HEALER IN GROUP 3!!, because all the healers are clumped in a single group). Also, if it wouldnt be too hard, would be really nice to give den raid leader control commands, so he could, say, click the button/macro that flashes 'GO TO WEST TOWER' in red alert letters on all of group 2's screens, or per person.

Gears should not go back.

But the gear should randomly spawn in 4 different spots in the zone.

what do you find wrong with the 'grab it and defend your territory, work together to keep it' type approach? I love that folks would try to make a fort in the tunnels, defend the holder, juggle it together, etc. Its a fair, balanced, and strategy rich experience.

Whatever the solution, I used to be able to find groups to go in together with, but since the switch everyone tells me they only play it if its the only one they can get in and theyre bored as hell. Basically, its not fun anymore, they took all the teamwork out.

Well, probably not in the team respawn points, but anywhere else. Imagine the chaos! It would certainly break up the rugby scrum in the middle ... everyone scatter and find the relic.

Den, I do argee with voting on a raid leader, and do agree on the raid leader having more of an influence.. maybe by map he clicks on a group #3 in his map, clicks on lava mace and everyone from group 3 will have a red text appear that says 'head to lava mace tower' and give them a waypoint. Far too advanced coding for soe so it'll never happen, but more raid leader controls should be in effect regardless... even to the point of a raid leader having priority in raid chat, maybe a different color or something. Too much 'dispatch, potm, etc' spam for most to pay attention to really.

Good ideas. Another thing for Den that I think would be a great addition: Right now if you look at the map, all of the dots for your teammates are the same color (red for the red team, blue for the blue team)? Why? Why not have them color coded by group instead? Have each group dot match the color of the group's background in the raid window. That way if the raid leader orders group 2 to take Lava, he can quickly see that it's not going to happen when they instead disperse to the four winds. He could then ask group 3 to go after Lava, etc. It would also help with group assembly ... if I join a match in progress, I could quickly see where my group is. Same deal if some of the group dies.

Basically, since a team with one good healer, or two average ones, is pretty much unkillable, people hold the relic for 200+ points and therefore it becomes fastest clicker first. Same with the flag in Ganak. While fighters and priests can run round solo with 6+ people on them without breaking a sweat, this map will never work as intended.

I'd love to say that there's a viable bandaid for the inherently broken game at the core of battlegrounds, but the fact is, tweaking how the flag/gear works will not fix things. What's needed are fundamental class and game balance fixes.
