I've been trying to figure out what happened to the forest giants, did they become extinct? And is the crypt of dalnir just simply destroyed by a cave in when the cataclysm happened? Anyone who has any knowledge or links on this subject matter lemme know! Thanks :]

What's left of the forest giants (and mountain giants from Frontier Mountains) are now in north-east Fens of Nathsar. The entire northern section of the continent no longer exists for some reason. If you were to somehow be able to climb up the cliffs to the top of the ruins of Cabilis, you'd find the ocean down below a few feet later. You could say that what remains of the Warsilik Woods is the wooded area in northeast Fens.

Probably the worst part is that the Crypt of Dalnir isn't even MENTIONED. There really is no explanation what happened to it. I miss that zone too. It had awesome monk gear in EQlive.

Cusa is incorrect on the northern side of jarsath wastes is the warsliks woods. During ROK beta the devs said the giants barracaded themselves in the woods. That area is not accessible, but you can still see parts of it off of the burning woods area of jarsath wastes.

That's something odd. The Kunark map on the Wiki shows the northern part of Kunark fleshed out FAR LARGER than what it currently is, with open roads leading from Jarsath Wastes and Fens. Maybe they originally planned for a 5th overland zone, but had to drop it.

If you complete the collection tome "The Littlest Hill Giant", it gives info on the giants which may answer the question.

You can buy the pages off broker or spend time looking for pages around Teren's Grasp just outside on the snow along the trail that leads up to TG, at the head of the trail that leads to the yetis but doesn't go all the way to the caves, and over inside the tunnel that leads to The Highlands.

Thanks very much everyone, I was really enthralled by the original EQ lore, and had wondered for a while now what happened. Its Kind of weird that they just completely dropped them! I had a lot of fun in those days! I'll definately go look up the littlest hill giant!

Hell if it was enough content/done well, we might even be willing to put up with a slight delay for Velious. They should realize Kunark was originally very popular also.

And quite frankly, I thought how they returned Cabliss was just pathetic and wrong. They could always add a dungeon/area to explore the lost aquaducts of Cabliss or something. Ahh well, just dreaming......

Warslicks woods is the area between Riliss and the Field of Bone... it's tiny, but you do get quests that ask you to go kill prowlers out in the "Warslicks woods".

The Western part of Kunark is totaly messed. it looks like they put the Jarsath Waste area upside down. Danak's Shipyard used to be on the North coast and is now South, Skyfire was West of Howling Stones and is now to the East....
