<p>So, can we get a little bit more depth as to what exactly is going to happen with Rangers? From the Fanfaire panels, you outlined fixes to bow mechanics, but it all felt just a little bit vague, particularly for changes you're hoping to have ready by the time the Guardian fixes go live.</p><p>Anything particular that you guys are looking at?</p>

<p>Basically what I got from it was they are going to put in flurry for bows, and reiterated that they want rangers fighting 'ranged' and not 5 meters. I just hope they noticed the percentage of those questions that were specifically ranger related.</p><p>As for being more ranged I would still like to see some melee CA's turned ranged, if not reducing reuse on current ranged CA's. Couple of ways you can do it. using Lightning Strike as an example.</p><ul><li>Lightning Strike and Lightning Shot. Lightning Shot being the ranged variation of the melee Lightning Strike. when one is used they both act as if they were activated and share the same reuse timer, preventing it from being an additional CA opposed to an alternative.</li><li>Adjusting melee CA's to act differently based on range. So Lightning Strike would say some thing like "under 5 meters does a melee attack for (X) heat damage. Between 5-50 meters does a ranged attack for (X) heat damage"</li><li>Making higher level versions of melee CA's be ranged. So when you get Lightning Strike V at 43, it is a ranged attack instead of a melee one, all subsequent upgrades are also ranged. Problem with this is it could confuse 'newbies'</li></ul><p>Some specifics would be nice though. Telling us your line of thinking before you start working on implementing it would save a lot of time.</p>
