Well, I'm back (i know, gasp, horror, ect) but not for long. Since I last posted I've done a number of raids and... well... I've given my 2 raid notice to my guild. This is mainly because the account that my illy is on runs up in 2 raids and I'm not going to renew it. While I'm mostly in fables now, I still pull only 10-11k in raids, 15-20k if I have a trouby, hell, I've let my bird dance around on the keyboard during raids and she did nearly 7k. I may be leveling an alt of some kind on my other account, have a swashy up to 40 something that I might play, but I like the concept behind the illy and if some of the concerns were met I might not be leaving.

Anyways, so that I can atleast say I tried to contribute here's the reasons I'm leaving.

1) Skill Requirement: ok, so there is a difference between skilled and unskilled players, but it's minimal. My Bird, while i love her to death, managed to pull 7k by walking around on the keyboard and chewing on my Beam button (dunno why she chose that one, she might be smarter then i think) where as I, a human being, pulls 10-11k in raid without a trouby. The simple fact that my raid members couldn't tell I had my bird on the keyboard was worrying enough (ok, so I was moving my character as needed to not die, but still) is worrying.

2) Damage potential: This ties in closely to the first as the difference between a skilled player and an unskilled one is minimal, so is the difference between my attempting to pull high damage and my lethargic fat fingering of the beam, chaos and mana flow buttons while watching NCIS. A skilled wizard who is modivated can put out really high damage if they time all of their shiiii-stuff right, where as an illy who perfectly times all of their temps still only gets a 1-3k damage boost over one who didn't. So why bother trying so hard when I pull just as much damage by randomly hitting buttons 1-5?

Ok, while there are more issues with the class, I feel those are the two biggest on my mind and the main reason I'm leaving. I don't care if SoE makes the class harder to play, or atleast more challenging to pull the highest damage the class is capable of, just so long as the class is capable of more damage then 15k.

I don't have a troub in my group. I'm getting around 10-12k on a good night. I'm not a skilled illy, just fairly well geared finally. But I am a solid third in my raidforce among our illies. And that's ok to me. We are all good friends and that is important for me for raiding.

Most instance with friends, when its time to raid, we take it serious, so if your just a dabbler, why would you ever think your opinion on this important subject would be wanted?
