<p>you cant self-mentor, the devs fixed and nerfed that.</p><p>only way to get around that, you need a lower level buddy, or 2nd account low level main alt for a group and get mentored.</p>

<p>Ive been useing chronomage mentoring at 90 and going in mentord at 50 every time the zone is up just havent gotton the wings got a few nice chest just no wings lol ill try it at 80</p><p>THanks</p>

<p>I usually chronomentor down to 80, enter the zone, and then unmentor to return to level 90. All the named except for the fae drake are green at 90, but all the trash is grey, so it makes for a quick run. Beware the dragonfly named if you're trying to solo it, however, as he occasionally uses a charm that will cause the encounter to break and reset.</p>

<p>Only found in the 80 - 90 instances of the zone.</p><p>The wings are not heirloom and are no trade (really should be tagged heirloom)</p><p>Mentoring down and unmentoring puts the last name in the zone at zone in level + 2, so level 60 instance, last name in zone is 62</p><p>I think they fixed it so you can only crono down to 10 levels below you (or to rounded number, so 62 can only crono and unmentor at 60 etc)</p><p>If your having trouble clearing the zone at level, I suggest taking two characters with root, when your main DPS runsout of power, simply have the other one hold it with root, sacrafice the powered out DPSer (wizard) and the respawn point is in the instance, just have the other one hold it in combat with root, wait till powers up and revive sickness is gone and re-enter the battle.</p><p>I am not sure but I think level 90 increases the wing drop chances?</p><p>They should really lower the req on those wings to 50 and put a heirloom tag on it.</p>

<p>I can see why they left the wings the way they are. I mean, those things are the main reason most people even still bother with Shard of Love, so if they made them easier to get, nobody would ever go there. Wings are the carrot dangling just out of the reach of anybody who still bothers to enter the zone.</p>

<p>Thanks for posting this.  It never occurred to me that since the wings, buckler, and greatsword are level 80 items that I would need at least a level 80 instance to drop them.  Everything else is a level 50 item (with one item at 45 iirc) so that's why they drop at lower levels.</p><p>I've updated the wiki so that players trying to farm for these items won't make the same mistake we did and keep doing the instance at 70 or lower so we could bring our alts.</p>
