It appears that the EQ2 Tournament on Friday beginning @10:30 a.m. (no end time) located in the Grand Ballroom completely conflicts with the EQ2X Panel discussion beginning @11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. located at the Bally's Event Center.

The idea is, sign up for a time that won't conflict with a panel you want to go to (and hope they're not running behind).

It has nothing to do with the EQ2X panel, ya'll are making something of nothing.

If its like any other fanfaire year it conflicts with most of the panels that day and in that first hour only only a couple groups will be able to do the tournament. You sign up for specific time slots throughout the day. A handful at the most will miss that panel, if they want to attend the panel. Same with the EQ1 tournament. Just like any convention you have to decide what panels or events you want to do, there will always be conflicts in scheduling.

Unfortunately it's an issue we face every year, as stated above. The meat of the convention is only two days long (Friday and Saturday), and unless we only did EQII panels on a single day, there's no way to run an EQII tournament (that runs from 10:30 am until 6:30 pm in order to acommodate the large number of participants) and an EQII live quest and panels. The tournament and panels have proven popular enough that we don't want to take them away, so that only leaves us with the option of overlapping somewhat.

Again, as said above, just sign up for a time slot for the tournament that doesn't conflict with a panel you wish to attend. If there aren't any you want to miss, then I'm afraid it's up to each individual to prioritize.

If anyone has ideas for these events, we're happy to listen. The format of the tournaments and live quests has changed slightly over the years, but that doesn't mean that we thought of every option.

I really need to perfect my Shaddow Clone Jutsu.

No kidding. I think I'm going to need Hermione Granger's time turner from the third Harry Potter book just to make it through this Fan Faire. Phew!
