Agree 100%!

This is the same post my poor paladin has when she wards herself. Really not at all what I would imagine a brave paladin of marr doing when calling on the favor of her god to protect her.

GO! MARR!!! *cringes away from the big nasty monster about to hit her*

Yeah...brave...

We shouldn't cringe down like that. It's not a tornado drill. It looks REALLY bad in battle. Truly breaks the flow.

I was thinking a fists crossed at the wrists pose about neck high and about hald a foot from the face would work better, for a Paladin/SK using the Wards should hold up their shield with a partical effect comming form that.

Alot of the new animation/partical effects seem either repetitive or bland under the new particle changes. It is also due to the fact most of the AA attacks havent been updated yet and are just reusing the same animations already in use on standard combat arts, but I also dont think the alot of work was done on brawlers to use alot of the animations available.

Since this isn't particularly part of the particle effect changes but more of the animations I am not sure if you would like for me to include a list of the new effects i think should be changed or tweaked because they are just reused animations.

Yup, that's the same animation that many of us are talking about. The whole "please don't hurt me, I'm cowering in fear with my hands over my head" move. Apparently someone at SOE really, really thinks that's just an awesome animation because they're using it with a lot of different spells.

This is the same animation as "Deffensive Minded" for the guards and has been since TSO. Never been a huge fan of it because of the concerns already listed.
Most of the new Coercer spell animations share animations... I really dislike it.

I like the Charm animation, but as a raiding coercer, Charm doesn't do anything for me so that animation kinda goes to waste there.

I hope new animations come in for all the Coercer spells, 'cuz it gets really boring just to watch the same animation when casting. Also, the root animation for Coercers is very lacking and hard to see on the mob.

I will give you props for that "rainbowy" effect on some of the spells when the mob is hit by those spells.

Ttobey, while you're at it, can you remove the spell effect from the Monk and Bruiser's Feign Death? As stated by the lore, these are abilities that the monk can pull off through physical training. It is not Arcane Combat like all our attacks. Spell-cast versions like Necromancers, Shadowknights, and Tinkered devices offer should have spell animations, but not a physical ability like Feign Death. It should look the way it has since the game started.

I think if we start calling them particle effects it would better describe what they are!

Someone already posted about coercer animations...

Wanted to add that also coercer particle effects are horrible now. And having like 5 spells that share the same effect on the mob is boring as hell... And I can't see how this relates to the patch notes: "The purpose for these changes are primarily to optimize and individualize as many spells as possible so there will be more uniqueness to each class."

I knew we were second class citizens, but this is f***ing annoying.

At least my wizard alter got some love and I have to say good job on his animations and particle effects. Now back to work on coercer....
