Hey guys, I've just returned after about a year and have a few questions (as I just started to raid again).

I've been looking at the differences between Hemotoxin and Caustic poisons. I keep seeing training dummy parses where Hemotoxin will out-dps Caustic every single time. I've calculated the differences between the two:

Focused Caustic = 4.9 PPM @ 1161 damage per proc (poison mastery) = 94.815 dpsFocused Hemotoxin = 4.9 PPM @ 523 damage per proc (poison mastery) every 4 seconds = 130.75dps

Every single parse I've done on a training dummy backs this up. However, from the different posts I've seen, people recommend going with caustic. Is this because of raid buffs that increase the PPM (procs per minute)?

Also, is it actually worth it to get Poison Mastery in the Shadows tree since poison seems to do so little DPS and doesn't seem to crit?

Another thing that I've seen is that a lot of raid mobs seem to be ignoring traumatic swipe. Is it still useful to go all the way down this tree?

Thanks!
