Hi,

I've just got a new pc that has an SSD as the C: drive.

Launchpad insists on being installed on C:, but Windows 7 has reserved this drive as 'Read Only' or something somesuch similar (I'm not a techy).

Launchpad installed and works fine but everytime I start the game Launchpad appears to install updates for itself, I dont get any errors message, after a time I get the logon window as normal, can log in and play the game normally.

I've set both EQ2.exe (installed on D: drive) and Launchpad (on C to run as Administrator, but this hasnt made a difference.

It's only a minor annoyance that takes me longer to get in game, but one I would like sorted.

Any ideas on how to cure this please?

So if the SSD is read only how did launchpad even install itself on C: ? You say it installed fine and set to run as admin so it is obviously on the actual C: drive correct? (sorry just trying to get some clarification).

http://www.intowindows.com/change-d...indows-7-vista/

Try that link to change your default install location, this "should" force launchpad to install where you tell it to. maybe ... lol the fact that they don't give youa choice in the installer is super awesome is it not?!

Sorry for late reply.

Thanks for the info.

I downloaded and installed the snazzy Station Launcher after I posted, that 'seems' to be installed to D: and all the 'patching every time I launch' issues have gone away.
