Alright so I have rolled a Coercer locked at 39 for BGs. (I don't know why, caster classes are not my first pick, maybe I just wanted a bit more of a challenge)

But... How is parsing done in BGs.. I always seem to parse way lower than act has me parsing.

Also is it even viable to play a coercer in this tier I don't seem to do much in the BGs but slow people down for the most part lol. Is that what I will be stuck with? Defensive lock downs.. I mean its all fun when I mez an entire group, but it is a rare occurance that I get them all.

AA Builds? Like I said first time on a caster and maybe my build sucks. I am unsure I have 75 AA atm and working on getting it to cap for 39 so any help there would be awesome.

I am in mostly MC (as at 39 MC is waaaaaaaaaay better than the PVP gear for that range, other than jewlery for the ward).

So anything, anything at all that may increase my damage output or survivabilty would be awesome! I would like to make this work instead of heading to my standard play styles... I have two 90s for that lol

[email protected]@65@12@12@111 . it's not a perfect spec, but it makes the most out of the abilities that you have at that lvl. once you do get 160 AA's, i'd probably spec like this in the shadows tree http://www.beetny.com/eq2aa/

I thank you for the help! I will def take some of it to heart.

As for MC vs PVP Armor at 39 well.. It is a stat thing, the MC honestly has better stats, way more INT and other things. and the tradeoff is a little bit more Toughness on the PVP but my INT drops dramatically. Realistically for me to get the most out of my gear MC does the job for me.

Im going to have to say your wrong here saying MC is better than BG, in t4 the most important thing for any class is easily toughness, get as much as you can and use adorns for int if you want but survivability is the most important thing any class can have, a few extra int isnt going to make any difference when you get 2-3 shotted by an inquisitor, which is what i play in t4, i have found illys coercers are by far the easiest kills and alot of times i go for them first because they are so annoying, and im not alone in this either, so get toughness or have fun respawning.

Oh and if you dont believe me look at the gear of everyone else around you who is also doing well, you will notice that they all have BG gear, and if they dont its because they dont have enough tokens for it, i play on the pvp server and anyone who knows anything in t4 has the entire set of BG armor.

Good Luck though, coercer is definitely a fun class to play although i play mine in the 80s bracket, t4 is fun and easy but there are way too many people who run around like chickens with their heads cut off for me to enjoy it as much as in t9 even though there are a few of those in that tier as well.

I can't really see my survivability being much better than what it is atm though. I am not dying left and right and have never been 2-3 Shotted by anyone yet. Scouts are really the only thing that give me problems, and even then it is only when I have more than one on me.

I was just trying to squeeze more DPS out of the coercer and the AA setup here has given me that. I have continued to raise on the ladder usually owning the people in the BG armor. So I will try the added toughness and see if it helps when I am engaging more than one player at a time.

I am playing a coercer in the same tier as you and I am slowly making my way up the ladder and having a blast.

Biggest problem I have is scouts, but only when there are more than one of them and there are always more than one.

The drop off from your primary stats from MC to BG doesnt seem to compare to the amount of survivability you get. My coercer did BG's in 40-49 for a while before getting BG gear. I didnt notice to much of a drop off in dps. I noticed that its alot harder for most classes to kill me tho.

Coercers are better in 40-49 then they are in 30-39. My coercer is usually right at the top for dps in every BG.

Tons of kills, i still die, just not nearly as often when i had MC gear. I run into players with MC gear and less then MC gear and they die extremely fast.

Your reactives will give you the most damage, make sure they are mastered out and fill them up in your coercer AA line.

I just resubbed after a break. I have a 44 coercer with MC armor, all masters/adept3's and only like 68 AA. I'm working on getting more AA and doing BG's/PvPing to get the new armor. I did a BG last night, was # 2 in dps and kills. I only had like 3 deaths. I've noticed though in open world PvP it's much harder to kill people than before I left. I'm guessing toughness has a lot to do with it.

You should also work on your spell order and find the best route. If you want to keep someone mezzed as long as possible, open with mez/debuff(obliterated psyche and tanisha)/hostage/curse/destructive mind then start unloading. Thier health will drop very fast. You can use this to pick off healers or outliers. If you just want to go in and dps, then focus on casting reactives whenever they are available and debuffing as much as possible. As suggested, you can follow the tank or a scout around and they will get your melee reactive working hard for you.

Good luck!
