Howdy all and Good morning. Yes this is a Templar question but I figured all of you look at this board first so I am posting it here. I have returned to EQ and I am currently playing my Swashie, however I also have a Templar and I am looking at the AA charts/trees and the Cleric tree is all about dps. Ok I get it, we suck and need help which is why thats set up that way. My question is...

Which AA (tree branches) should a Templar (initially) persue and why?

My GF is also creating a Templar as a Trio for me, a pally and her as a healer and I am scratching my head on what to put points into. If anyone has suggestions PLEASE post here. She will be soloing at times so I understand the need to increase the Templars dps.

Again if anyone has suggestions please let me know. I and she can respec at 80 or 90 as we will start raiding.

Thanks again!

Look on flames for some great healing and dps setups, there are a few on here, but most of the good stuff is on the flames forums. You shouldn't have to search very far on there, it's laid out where even a noob can figure out how to set up their AA tree. Oh and Templars don't suck, we are quite awesome.

What is this 'Flames' you speak of?

Is this a 3rd party site and if so can you post a link or such?

Thanks again.

SOE doesn't like it when you link to that site.

Yes, go to eq2flames. It really is the best place for class info.

STA line for crits. Take the Holy Smites line in your Templar tree and get Smite Wrath. Keep in mind it requires a pause in healing. However, Templars are heavily weighted toward healing, curing, buffing the tank. If you go DPS, get a friendly crafter to make you an AA mirror so you can store your DPS spec and trade out your heal spec when you've gotta do harder content. As for heal setups, yes that *other* site has some good info.
