I get this also. After I get the error message and wait 5 seconds, it will download a bit more then the error message pops up.

I look on my C:drive for the Program Data folder but do not see it listed. I would like to use a custom UI but since I can not access the C:Program Data folder, I can not use the custom UI.

Why does EQ not get installed under C:Program Files?

Jim

They install there instead of Program Files because people were having issues with UAC in windows vista. (Of course ProgramData is an equally bad place to have it, but that's another story -- remember you can always move your install of EQ2 to its own folder, say C:/EQ2).

Changing where EQ2 is installed worked perfectly for me.
