Crit damage v toughness please explain

<p>I have been trying to work out why none of my spells crit against a friends wizzie, while 100% of his spells crit against me!!  Neither of us can fugure it as I have way more tougness and supposedly much greater crit mit v another player than he does.  We both run at  comparable spell crit, spell crit bonus and mitigation v spell damage.  Almost all my spells land - its justthat none of them crit - while all his lands and all crit;(  We've tested a few times and compared ACT figures and neither of us can figure it - any suggestions.  Oh and its not the blue adorns we have the same!</p>
