Where are the diffrent places where there are small or big parts of Luclin laying around ? Are they like radioactive sorta ? what happens to the area where they are ?

Some of the Luclin material seems to be "weird" ore. Mostly what hangs around it is undead stuff (haunting where they died?) Radioactive? Who knows? Probably beyond the scope of the knowledge of the denizens of Norrath even to fathom such a thing. They sure study the ore closely, though.

A spectacular example can be found in the Overthere section of Jarsath Wastes, not too far from the Howling Stones sokokar post. You can stand in the nearby meadow and see the scrape mark on a mountainside where the meteorite skipped, and the huge, deep pit it dug as it came in at that shallow angle. The piece of Luclin is way down in the bottom. It glows a bluish color and has crystals on it.

I've noticed Luclin material en masse most noticeably in Thundering Steppes, between the guard towers and Ruins of Varsoon. Stuff is probably in quite a few zones; I know you gather "moon rocks" in Tillage Patch portion of Moors of Ykesha.

Qeynos has a big chunk in its moat, and outside in Antonica near the griffon tower (in the middle of "crater lake"). Jarsath Wastes has a bunch outside of the shipyard.

I figured by now that there would have been an effort to clean up these chunks of moon, but then again rarely anything happens to advance a timeline in Norrath, as NPCs in Willow Wood still pine for the return of Tunare or Kelethin. An ogre in EFP wants you to help her "discover" this new-fangled land called Feerrott.. etc. That's a different subject tho.

Every shard seems to have a different influence on the environment it landed in.

The two shards that landed in Sinking Sands have vegitation growing out of the sand itself and reanimates dead cobras.

The shard in Antonica seems to pollute the water at crater pond. The animals that live there are putrid and decrepid.

The shard that landed in Qeynos actually purifies the water. I simply think that they rebuilt the canal around the shard, which is why there's no damage seen.

The shard in the Forest Ruins does nothing noticable.

The shard that creates Venril's Crown in Jarsath Wastes raised the undead near it.

The other shard in Jarsath Wastes near Chelsith... well I'm not sure what it does. It may have an effect on the mentality of the Yha'Lei that live there. It's possible it corrupted them into following the Leviathan, but otherwise no noticable visual effects.

The giant shard in Timorous Deep should have realistically wiped out most life on Norrath from it's impact.

One thing to say is that each peice of Luclin seems to generate a strong magical presence. In general it causes the dead to rise and for greenery to grow. Why the powers that be in Norrath haven't started to attempt and harness that raw magical energy is a mystery. If nothing else, they should be worried about all this raw magic causing random acts to happen that they will have to waste time and resources to counter if they don't do something now.

I could imagine sigils being carved into the larger fragments, or something akin to the japanese tradition of sealing spirits in stone by using sigils and ropes. Alas, I don't think this will happen. Mainly because Norrath is a progressive story. Starting in Qeynos and working outward you effectively travel through time, expansion by expansion. As you "progress" along the expansions you move forward in time until you "catch up" with the most recent events in SF. As such, its unlikely that old NPCs will be updated or removed or the landscape will receive a major rennovation unless it relates to the latest expansion.

The Luclin pieces are actually a story line that I never understood why the lore never really followed. Such a big event as Luclin blowing up and raining ore down upon Norrath and no real lore or live events to expand on it. Major let down and oversight from the Devs here.

There could be a lot of content expanded upon from this but perhaps, and I'm being very kind here, the Devs haven't expanded on this to not give away upcoming plans for lore. Not likely but who knows, by the time we ever get close to getting answers to many questions, they will probably shut down this game. Sigh......

I never played EQ1, but when Luclin was still intact, was it then a "magical" place ?Or did this mysterious energy suddenly started radiate as soon as it was torn apart ..kinda like Radon in old houses ?

Was Luclin a place with lots of undead ?

The moon was hidden from Norrath except for once a month when it could be seen. Luclin was totally unopposed on her moon by other dieties who ignored its existance. For hundreds of years she tinkered and created new life in her domain. She created an immortal race who even when killed would return as shades. They worshiped her exclusively and had a total distrust of everything from Norrath.

Luclin used her magic to limit the number of visitors she received from Norrath. It is believed that she could control teleportation to and from Luclin. The Nexus existed on Luclin, but nobody is sure how it was created. At this time it is easiest to say that Luclin herself created the Nexus and she definately had control over it. After allowing the Combine Empires loyalists and Seru's Inquisition to enter the moon, Luclin shut down the teleporters and drove the chief teleportation engineer (Greig) mad to prevent him from finding a way to return to Norrath.

Also Luclin "invited" the Vah Shir to Luclin by pulling their skyward flung home onto her moon. She could of possibly engineered the whole event, or just taken advantage of the situation. It is highly doubtful that they arrived without divine assistance as the city landed fully intact.

The Shissar also managed to teleport an entire pyramid to the surface of Luclin. The immediately went about setting up magics to create a no-air zone to protect them from The Greenmist which was decimating the rest of the race. Again, it is felt that Luclin allowed them to come to her moon rather than the Shissar being able to travel back and forth freely.

Luclin was filled with all manner of places and creatures. While there were zones with free roaming undead, they were in the minority. There were the Sun-touched. Kind of a crazy zombie similar to the desert madmen in Sol Ro without water bottles. There was a coven of vampires that was created without Mayong's assistance. The Shissar had many undead amongst them including a large number of liches. There were also a huge number of specters hanging around the remains of Greig's teleportation device.

The caverns were populated with mushroom people and trogladites. There were several races of beasts including a cat like creature with bat like features, and the owlbears that you see in Nek forest. A race of grey aliens that actually came in several different colors which were used as slave labor. Several varities of giant insect. An entire zone populated by free roaming elementals (Twilight Sea was one of the most beautiful zones in EQ1).

So yes, Luclin was a very magically-rich place but not particularly prone to undead.

I would like to point at the the iksar in Danak, were so far about to use the luclin pieces as one art and two you be used as a artistic designed platform to elevate people to that fence broker at the front of the snake head.

^ What? I could barely understand the sentence structure there. I don't think that platform is made of Luclin, but there's no explanation for the platform so maybe it was, and maybe it's just another technology from Charasis.
