Hi all,

Ex-WoW player here. I found EQii, for which I have the 14 day trial (will probably sub).

I have a Microsoft Explorer wireless mouse (model 1362), a year old. In EQii, the default zoom in or out works fine with the mouse scroll up and down.

However, I wish to cast a spell when scrolling up or down. So I've unbound the zoom in and out in the Options menu by clicking the Delete buttons.

Interestingly, it showed my default zoom in and out as being bound to "NUMPAD+" and "NUMPAD-". Clicking those buttons on my keyboard ALSO zoomed in and out fine.

When I click to bind an ability on my Hotbar, nothing happens at the "choose your new binding" bit when I scroll in or out. If I click my NUMPAD+ button at this point, it binds.

I then click Accept, etc. - but when I continue to play the game, it's as if I haven't even changed the bindings at all. My Hotbar bind text on the button hasn't updated (the little white writing showing me what's bound), when I mouse scroll up or down I still zoom in and out.. it's very odd.

Does anyone have any advice?

Other points: Quitting and reoading the client shows my binds have been saved. If I open the menu again, I can see that in the VIew Options, zoom in and out has none of the two potential bind settings. yet if I scroll in, I zoom in.
