Please SOE, right now a troub can snare and set me at (negative) -60% run speed. Then they get 15% incombat run speed. So they litterally can go 75% faster than me. Since snare lasts forever and since it has no pvp immunity timer, curing it doesn't mean crap. They just reapply it. Why am I carring around 14 min recast timer cure pots?

Please make snare a control effect that has an immunity timer. If you get hit with a 45s snare, curing it should give you a 45s immunity. If 45s is too long of an immunity well at least give us 10-15s.

It's stupid that you basically have to always avoid certain classes because you know that no matter how good you are at the game there isn't anything you can actually do to them.

I am just playing the devils advocate on this one....but though troubys and dirges can use nice little tricks like that....how much damage do they REALLY do when you are snared?? I know that my 83 dirge's most powerful damage attacks are his auto attacks, in which case kiteing is about as fun as doing the harvesting heritage quest.

I just dont want to be kited indefinitely. And it doesn' t matter how much damage they do because they can definitely kill you before their snare wears off. That's the point.

SOE took previous suggestions (ones I mentioned in posts just like this) and implemented them. Such as shorter control effects in pvp. Thank you SOE for giving us a better pvp experience. Snare is another control effect that renders a player helpless in pvp.

Tell me to learn how to play all you want. Luckily for me, SOE takes suggestions and considers them. If I'm wrong then nothing will change. But keep in mind, plenty of poeple told me to l2p when I complained about control effects in pvp and now those have been toned to a point that they're still powerful but not impossible to overcome.

There are already solutions to being rooted or snared, several of them. It ain't broke, and it don't need fixin'; there's a lot of other stuff that does need fixin'.

I don't have a Troub. Or a Dirge.

I agree i hate it as well but i go out of my way to carry pots for curing stun and root effects and it is not cheap to buy so i made a freaking alchy just for those, also now i have alchy i make my own heal pots so it worked out really well.

also i took a race that i got a racial trait of immunity to stuns for 10 seconds on 5 min recast with as another way to help myslef. do a little research before you outright complain on this.

OP has valid points

Not all classes have tools to ignore a snarer. And the current in game tools to cure or disable snares for a period of time are laughable at best.

if you manage to cure a snare, it will be reapplied much faster then your cure pot is ready again. besides you can easily stop people from curing your snare by using any kind of dot or debuff to lay over your snare.

10 sec anti snare pot is nothing but a joke. you can't cast it when you actually should cast it - before that random scout launches the attacks. combined with the epic lag we experience everywhere on the server, those 10 sec shrink to something like 2 sec, and even if you reach the kiter, you'll get "out of range" message...

pvp charms are just the same like the 1 charge immunity pots. against any halfway skilled player it won't give you an advantage, it will just delay the outcome of the fight by a few seconds.

Only thing with snares that is broken is Fettering Poison, Especially for rangers, You can pot it, and it will just reapply and you will never get to that ranger really, but it works for all scouts like that, just most notable for rangers.
