Well this has broke my heart lol i had a 80 guild there all nice gh and stuff 90 defiler challengers i mean i know it gets wiped it just make mes me /cry knowing that everything i achived there was wiped in a instant all the friends i knew there will be hard to find

I'm sure most people who regularly frequented Test Copy will re-copy once the server is available for testing again.

The regular Test server is the place to play if you want to play in the Test environment but not be subject to wipes (but of course, you also don't get copies or buffing).

Personally, I never assume anything is going to last and figure my test characters and everything they have will get deleted at any moment. Its not like a regular server.

I know its not like live servers but i would like that freedom so if nothing going on Live i can kick back and relax on Test copy do a few zones for fun and most of my friends on that server were part of Qeynos were as i am Freeport so i could talk to them without the hassle of deleteing one of my toons just for talking purposes and all those nights people waited for someone to come on so they could get there myth and stuff were they now have a buffer doing it. only thing i would like to see on Test copy this time is a buffer to 90 with t9 raid gear not being greedy im just saying Moosh was lvl80. so testing Higher content was a struggle unless people came over but they wernt on all the time ive worked my butt off on live and i enjoyed test copy for many reasons so please may i ask when will it be brought back up because i would like that choice back. . , thank you for your time.

No we won't be copying there again. After all the work to get a proper functioning guild there, the server was PvP for most of the time, so it was all just a waste.

Well i was told that they are not bringing Test copy back up ..... not to be rude but im sorry but if nothing needs tested im glad to know that we wont have the constant down times on live servers to fix the bugs and what not... i dont see why they need it wiped if we are testing high content dont wipe it so we can and if this is True that test copy wont be back then ill begin to get bored ive done alot on live ... and i like going on Test copy and testing diffrent classses yes there is Test but if im gonna have to lvl1-90 again ill do it on live // sorry thats my point

I haven't seen anyone with a red name say that its not coming back up eventually. Test Copy is wiped periodically... its annoying at times, yes, but its not intended to be a place where people play in lieu of a Live server (and from comments I've seen from players looking for the buffer, it often seems like a few are more interested in Test Copy as a place to play at max level with free gear/spells more than test at times). Personally I'm betting that it may be related to the upcoming hardware upgrades, which could explain why the server wasn't just put back up immediately, but we'll find out eventually <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.

The copy script should be up and running again. It usually runs every morning (not sure exactly what time though). So it could take up to 24hrs before you see your toon copied over depending on when you request it.I'm not sure when the buffer will be back up.

They put them up when they have something they specifically want tested to assist in getting folks to test it. If there's nothing high-end they specifically want tested, they won't spawn the buffer.

Then not to be rude but if im gonna be forced to play a class i wana play on live and lvl it 1-90 again ill just do it on live sorry but they had moosh up constantly and had old man dave up for a few weeks if i must lvl 1-90 on test copy i just wont bother and will make to toon on live and do it on that but would have liked to have tried the class to see wheather i liked it or not i dont wana make the class on live and then find out i hate it that would have been a waste of time ... sorry

Once they put the meat of the GU on test they usually start putting buffers up, especially when they add new content, just be patient until that happens and then you should be able to buff up to your heart's content.

You screwed up and chose to make your primary play character on a server that was, did and will again be wiped. Again,the only person you shouldbe mad at is yourself, no one else here, stop blaming DEV or SOE for you're own mistakes.

I never said i was blaming anyone one for what happend im just upset as all because there is hardly anything left on live to do done most of the faction quests and most of the noramal quests and now on to ones that require grps and noramlly my real life gets in the way to continue with them quests yes its my fault because im halting my own progression thats why i played on Test copy i had that freedom to hop on have a laugh and a giggle make new friends on diffrent servers and try classes out yes i tested alot of content thats why im also a little bit mad because a part of me knows it is wrong to flame and blame others but the other part of me is acting as if this were to happen on live when i know full well that it wont i just dont get why it needs to be wiped <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I can understand your point of View Eveningsong but whats to say i kit said toon out in full masters legendery / fable mc gear and get alot of aa and then find out even with the gear im still dieing or not doing as well as i should and i probberly would have wasted quite abit of plat on a toon that might possibly be Deleted<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> but thats True Test copy is not there to just make alts but like i said in my previous Message i did alot of testing and did raid zones with the devs which i am gratefull for but like i said i did enjoy the fact i was able to play a class at end game . i also see that this is anouther reason the gear on Test copy is easy to get and hard on live server so i cannot exepect to be the best for what ever lvl ... <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> but it was still an ideaThank you for reading this

You have 30 - 35 abilities to attempt to make sense of, several hundred AA options, and gear that is often not as good as you would have if you ran the instances it dropped in yourself.

I'm hoping that now when I copy her over to test things that I can start with a clean bank.

well in all honesty i like usen test server and being buffed to 80 with the 200 aa's i can actually sit there and play around with aa specs and learn casting orders by myself with out going to forums and learning other peoples specs and casting orders like i play tanks on test cuz i like to tank and i also like off tanking so in all honesty i dont care what yall say about lvling by your self.... i alredy have done it once on a necro and got three others at 80 on naggy but still dunno what specs i wana go down thats why i use the test buffer sorry to burst anyones bubble but they should keep the buffers for those that actually have lvled up by ourselfs and those who wana test aa specs b4 actually going into real raids on live servers where it actually counts... sorry to those that i dont make sense too =/

Respecs are free on Test/TestCopy, so just copy your toon over, then play with AAs endlessly. No need to buff a new toon, its much better to test that sort of thing on your current toon with the gear you'll be playing with, so you can see what true effect an AA will have for you. Playing with AAs on a buffed toon is not an effective way to test AAs, as you will only have adept spells and different gear.

I agree with Undeadangel Thank you Finnally someone who understands my point of view thank you and yes i agree with Undeadangel about the buffer situation ,,, i had 5 people ask me today if the buffer is up and its bugging me because before Test copy was wiped they had buffers up all the time and now out of the blue now we gotta w8 for stuff to be tested sorry to sound rude just putting my point across like all the over guys

Purr, remember the funky little glitch that requires one to create a NEW character on Testcopy before copied one shows up?Yep, still around. Created a NEW alt, camped out and my copied over alt was there nice and pretty.Give it a try.....bet your copies will be there for you.Edited to add...see the post above yours? Nope. I know about the glitch and made a new test copy toon a day or two after putting in the copy requests just in case and still nothing. And as of now still nothing from the requests I put in from Blackburrow on Saturday, although it's still only about 3:30 in the morning Pacific so the script may not have run yet this morning.

After making a Test Copy original Char, copies from some servers began to show up: Bazaar, AB and Test, but the ones from Mistmoore didn't.Maybe the script skips certain servers? I know for a fact that before Test Copy was wiped no copies from Test were arriving in several weeks, at least not on our accounts, while some people from Live Servers confirmed that they got copied over.Also: Maybe we can get this Test Copy glitch (that requires making a char there first) caught and solved? Considering that it seems to hit a fair amount of people consistantly after each wipe, it sounds like a well established, repeatable bug, not a glitch. How long does it take a guild to copy over for a leader character? My character is there (I did have to create a test copy character in order for her to show up) but the guild did not. I have a guild tag that has just the brackets with no name inbetween < >

A coder looked over the scripts and fixed some issues. He said to resubmit the transfer requests for characters that did not transfer over yet

I've gone ahead and rewritten the Test Copy scripts.Copies will now happen every hours instead of once a day. This means you will see your character apear on the Test Copy server much sooner than previously. There is still a queue of characters so your copy may be a bit delayed while copies are processed.You will now only receive 1 copy per 24 hour period. This means that even if you put in a copy request at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7pm only your 4pm copy will be honored. This is to reduce the amount of copies we do that are extranious.Hope that helps,~Z

That said we have created an override flag and once that gets set in one of the next patches this requirement should go away.
