I'm a level 72 coercor with moderate items and master spells for my level, is there actually any point in me going on battle grounds or am I going to get utterly whipped within 2 seconds?

What is the best way to get into Battlegrounds to have any decent chance of earning some better gear and winning the occasional duel?

Thanks

You'll do fine. And 72nd, you should be wearing a full set of 72 Mastercraft armor. Below 80th, all of the MC armor sets have free Toughness stats on them. So you're already going into the situation with the best starting protection possible for a person who's new to PvP.

Each BG tier auto mentors people down to a multiple of x10. So in your case, you're be mentored down to 70th for the 70-79 BG bracket. You only real fear should be running into AA twinks who have far more AA than you. Those characters may just punt you if they're sitting on 200 AA and you've only got 100 AA. That kind of thing will happen. But excluding that, you should do respectably.

Well... You'll die at first while you learn the maps, their strategies, and how the PvP mechanics work. But after that initial learning period which we all have to go through, you should be fine.

Thanks very much for the reply. I am going to sort myself out with a full set of MC 72 gear tonight and then I'll give it a go.

BG doesn't require good armor.

When you see the enemy cast a mez and get the attention of someone then run around the zone line and see how long you can last, lots of fun.

Take off all your armor if you really want a challenge.
