On specific encounters summoner pets can not attack adds. Zarrakon (couldn't care less in t8 so even less now) Klaaktus en Arkathantis the Destroyer.

On both Klaaktus (banshee and waves of adds) and Arkathantis (if chosen by script to kill Benthic adds) there are waves of adds that need to die fast. If the unability to attack with pet is intended it is really reetarded. Basically without the ability to attack adds with pet you are making an entire class pretty much useless to play. Trying to kill adds without a pet and an ubah 4k nuke and a few even lesser damage dots sure.. more chance of drawing a bald guy on the wall and waiting for him to grow hair.

So I really want to know if this is intended or a bug cause it seriously annoying Either way should be fixed.

There have been a few encounters recently that I've noticed are bugged or not working properly for Conjurors. Possibly summoners, as I am not a necro I can not confirm this though... but as a conjuror our pet dps is a good chunk of our dps and listed below are the encounters that I've noticed had issues

Klaaktuus (unbound) spawns adds which my pet does not attack. It appears to attack but in fact deals 0 damage to all adds spawned during this encounter.

Horraastaas - The buff you require to attack the mob does not apply to the pet allowing the pet to summon multiple adds and making that fight impossible for a Conjuror to dps the name. In doing so, will spawn a ton of adds which makes that fight uncontrollable at that point.

Overall general issue with conjurors - A pet who can not see the current target but allows us to cast spells (such as elemental blast) will cast, but deal 0 damage.

Hopefully they fix stuff like this - there's precedent in that the manta before Anashti in palace of the ancient one was changed to allow pets to attack it, so that suggests it should be technically feasible at least.

One more reason why Summoners are not a big priority for groups.

After years of putting up with pets not being able to cast over sidewalk cracks because for some unknown reason the devs made the pets target the mobs FEET(!), now we get mobs that the pet cannot damage at all.

With only the few encounters which they can't attack adds, they are still very valuable to a raid force imo.

There are only a select few fights where its an issue.
Even 1 encounter like that is too much.

With Klaak at least, it may (or may not) be a bug related to the odd mechanic they are using to make the adds incapable of being hit by blue AoEs, and only partially attackable with encounter AoEs.

I've made sure to drag my pet behind me through the light and i've sent the pet in just fine. I'm pretty sure I'd have heard screaming and yelling if the adds being spawned from pet were multiplied by 3 but who knows. To be fair we just barely got to this mob and maybe I just havn't done enough testing but with numerous pulls I havn't encountered an issue.

My Illy pet gets that error sometimes on various mobs, it usually is in places that have odd terrain that causes a line of sight issue. The pet will sometimes just run past the 'blockage' and attack, other times just stands there.

Yeah from what I can tell, the pet does fine on horraastaas, I have it attack when I have the fire buff and it doens't seem to cause any problems and we've killed it multiple times now.

Klaak though i've definitely noticed the issue, i would very much love for my pet to be able to help me with adds for that fight. Ark too, we need to be sure the pet is able to help the summoner when the summoner get the benthic add buff. Especially since only one dps is selected at a time to deal with adds.

confirmed klaak is still bugged after GU58.

Also confirmed the necro pet suffers from the same problem.

I know this is a rare mob, but i really think this is a huge problem on principle. Imagine if Shadowknights could not damage the adds on the queen fight in cella. Only shadowknights, EVERY OTHER CLASS could damage the adds fine. Now imagine this bug has been in place for what, at least 3 months reported?

oxy easy, has this same problem... hard though it seems to be fine (need confirmation)

Klaak HM - all i can do is have my pet constantly on named, sure it helps get the name down faster, but i'm on add duty making me as useful as a person with limp wrists and both hands broken at a slapping fight.

Ark - see above comment about klaak HM

i know the thread is mainly talking about high end stuff; however, my conjurer's Earthen Avatar-I never worked properly. perhaps the issues are related?

i put my EA-I on auto-attack and nothing happened. i clicked to send her in for the attack and nothing happened. she failed to assist in the battle most of the time. (if i had to guess, it would be that she failed around 90%.) poor Tigra had to be replaced with Tigre (fiery magician) until i got earthen avatar II.

i dont remember whether or not i sent in a bug report so that's why i'm posting now. the last time that i used EA-I was (roughly) a couple of months ago.
