As the title lists.. if you buy station cash to try and get bonus aa pots they wont work with the double bonus from the weekend. Its a complete waste of money and they will not reinburse you for this.

If you read the station pot it reads: You can not use this while you already have an AA experiance POTION active.

I did not have any AA potions active. The server was giving a bonus. I consumed the AA pot and got no bonuses...

why did you spend RL money when you could have bought the AA pots from the pvp merchant?

Yeah, I got that Tree from the Druid Ring event that gives the berries..

One of the berries is a 5% bonus to all types of Xp for 1 hour, so I figured I'd save those up and eat them while I was grinding aa's during the bonus weekend.

No luck there, either! Apparently nothing stacks with the 100% bonus, or else it's as high as it goes (and I don't think that's the case?). I could swear I have used XP potions, AA potions, and Tradeskill potions before during bonus times and had them work. I can see the icon that the berry is in effect, but it doesn't show on my Xp bar like the 100% bonus does.

Didn't potions and stuff work during previous bonus times? I am [Removed for Content] near positive they did.

Anyway, you got hosed, OP. That sucks. It's not the end of the world, but you really should get a replacement potion.

Strange. I did get noticeably more XP using a Tradeskill potion.

The normal anniversary claimed xp potions do work during server bonus periods, but I have heard that the SC purchased ones do not. Seems pretty outrageous to charge rl money and not have the item work with no disclaimer on the product regarding server bonuses. I haven't checked to see if the LON potions work or not during a server bonus.

I am not sure why it didn't work, but it may have had something to do witht he fact that you were already gaining 100% from the bonus weekend....

You can try to contact CS and see if they can help you out, just remember that you will attract more bees with honey

I'd like to get a confirmation. Did those potions work or not? I used AA potion and I noticed that it didn't say any bonus from it in the tooltip in the AA exp bar. I wondered it a bit but thought that it was just a display bug and the bonus was still active.

This is real money stuff that is broken if it is so I really would like to get an answer from someone who knows.

I just talked to the EQ2 GM's (including a lead), and it's a display issue. It does stack with the bonus XP weekend. You won't see it reflected if you mouse over the XP bar, but you can see it as an active buff and should most definitely be working and stacking. Apparently, this comes up every bonus XP weekend, and they've sent it through QA repeatedly just to make sure we aren't lying to people.

The 'real kicker' here is since we don't see any real xp numbers you must always accept $OE's word for things. Which is a horrible position to be in when your money is on the line.

I haven't bought any of those pots, but I know I won't buy any now.

I would have to admit I wasn't thrilled at the prospect of writing something that amounted to "take my word for it". Like I said, it does show as a buff so you do know it's working. It's moot this time around, but seems easy enough to test. Kill a mob with no potion on and see what percentage increase you got, drink the potion and kill the same type mob and see what happens.

That makes it much more difficult to tell 'anything' about upped gains. And with named its a 1 time and yer done forever so you can't compare. I'm trying loosen my tin foil hat, but you have engineered it so we can't tell anything about it other than it mostly works.

Hope you get it fixed to display properly that would mean less /petitions and you save money.

I got no where. Re-submitted my question becuase i wasnt happy with the anser.. I pretty much got another GM that said the same thing the first one did. Which was completely unacceptable. Thats when I made this post. I had all ready attempted to communicate with SOE and it failed.

Then after i made this post, mind you all ready peeved... I sent another question back on the petition and a couple hours later a gm contacted me in game and gave me the "trust me its working"

We did it a bit more scientifically - we tested it.

My duo partner downed one of the 25% aa potions from the market, I did not. Guess what, he steadily gained more aaxp than I did. I can't guarantee it was a 25% boost, but every AA ding I was further and further behind him, until I bought a 50% potion and caught up to him, then passed him.

So yes, they work.

My only complaint is that the 50% only lasts 2 hours and costs more than 3x the 25% 4 hour potion. It should be 4 hours to be in line with the extra cost.

100SC = 4hr 10%300SC = 4hr 25%1000SC = 2hr 50% - why?

I know that the /claimed Veteran Reward potions worked for tradeskilling with the 100% bonus. I checked before & after, and there was a difference. Just tossing that out there as semi-related.
