Problem with patcher - update fails then restarts perpetually

<p>I am trying to get into the game after having not logged in in a couple months and the update keeps failing. Please make sure the game is not running.Station launcher will try again after 5 seconds.</span>"</p><p>I have no idea what is causing this and the game is most certainly not running. Have restarted the computer as well. Anyone have any ideas?</p>

<p>first thing to try -  right click and run as administrator</p><p>You are running either w7 or vista from the directory path you give in the message.</p>

<p>Have same exact issue as op. Tried the suggestion to right click and run as admin and that did not work, same issue still exists.</p><p>I am running Win 7. Seemed to be fine prior to patch. Any help would be appreciated.</p>

<p>Same crap here.</p><p>Trys to download some file then tells me problem moving it is eq2 open? then does the whole thing again. been doign it for 15 minutes in a row.</p><p>Yes im running windows 7 and yes THis game has run almost flawlessly for the past 8 months on it.</p><p>This is some new kind of crap - hurry up and fix it please.</p>

<p>Station Launcher crashed after its 15th try and when it restarted it download a 22mb patch rather than the 3mb is was looping on</p><p>Now working</p>

<p>This is annoying. Same problem, and no solutions. Any ideas.</p><p>I have let the launcher retry a number of times and over and over again giving the same message from the op. Really have no idea what to try next.</p>

<p>Reinstall the launcher.  No need to uninstall what you have, just grab it again from launcher.station.sony.com, install it, and the first time you run it, right click - run as administrator.  Something is hosed with your launcher itself and its ability to save files on your machine.</p>

<p>Have Had The Exact Same Problem Here, Happens Quite Often Actually After Various Updates, This Time Read What Was Said About Running As Admin And It Worked First Time For Me....   So Many Thanks</p>
