I tried to setup some macro keys to target people and use JCap on them and then retarget the tank. I used the following format:

/target <person1>

/Cast JCap

/tt You have JCAP!

/target <tank>

I made a series of 4 of those buttons so I could just click them in order as JCap Came back up. The problem is that targeting and casting was always mixed up. Half the time the tank would get the JCap and the otehr half the caster would.

Any feedback on how to make htis work nicely would be appreciated. I use the standard UI and the EQ2 macro system.

You are aware that Jcap cannot be cast on the same person for something like 3 minutes, right?

Yep. The immunity is 2 minutes so I was planning on making 4 macros and just change the names every time I raid. That way I can just cycle it to 4 people and do individual targeting for things like JCaping the tank on named pulls and such.

I'm looking for something that will allow me to make sure I get the right people targeted.

http://www.eq2interface.com/downloa...apGravitas.html

EQAditu made this window specifically for jesters cap and gravitas. You still need to use a show command each time you log into the game, or you could show off your xml coding powers by tacking a visibility check on a specific ability cast. The window is very useful once you get use to it. It's not perfect, but thats mostly due to the nature of the way EQ2 UI works and thus handles this type of mod and is really not any fault of the mod itself.

Thank you! I'll play with it and see if I can get it work. I know nothing about XML so I'm gonna be looking for the most basic use of it.

You don't need to target the other person with a macro. Just create a macro and add the Spell/Ability option from the drop down. Drag the JC spell to the spell square and fill in the persons name in the Target box. Then add a Command line and put in whatever tell you want. Simple as that.

Or you can use the one click buttons built into profit/fetish group and raid windows. It already naturally has the jesters cap ability built into it as one of the buttons. It doesn't by default send a tell but can easily be made to do so.

Just wanted to get back and thank everybody for their input. I use the standard UI and have the JCap Macro's with specific targets and /tell in that macro. Works great. I just set them up for the people I want to rotate during the raid. I also downloaded the custom immunity timer window and that also works great. It was a bit of a pain to install but I finally got it working and it's very handy.
