Vhalen wrote this long ago

"Lucan knew they must be on a new crusade... a secret crusade. It was within the Overrealm that some of you learned a portion of that secret crusade. You know that they are caretakers of a great artifact. They may not truly understand the origin or purpose of that artifact, but they know that the fate of Norrath is tied to it. And if some of you know about that crusade, then I can assure you that Lucan is well aware of it also. It just may be that Sir Lucan D'Lere knows more about their secret crusade than they do."

Since the swords are useless now after they get drianed of their powers what is the Order of Marr up too now, since their secret crusade is over now in great failure since rohen theer was able to obtain the swords of destiny for a little while. Also when will we see LIONHEART CASTLE and Busheldown like the first 2 zones ever made in this game, Ive been waiting a long time very long time. any devs please toss me a bone atleast keep me busy for another few years ;p

No one has seen the final text from the Roehn Theer fight. The quest journal update isn't supposed to give it away.

4 Rune theer hasn't been slain, so we don't know if there's any more to it beyond what we are misgiven in the quest journal.

The experiments of the mechanics turned out to be a success, but the zones themselves where technical failures.

Also, Lionheart Castle? Aren't you thinking of Marr's Fist? I certainly don't recall ever hearing about a Lionheart Castle zone in this game, even from pre-alpha.

In a manner of speaking, Marr's Fist is in the game. Deathfyst Citadel is supposedly very loosely based off the original design, and DFC itself is a technical failure since it has always been notorious for causing memory leaks on your computer, cases of graphics not rendering, and characters falling through the world.

nope im talking about lionheart castle

Vhalen wrote:

The village of Marr, Deathfist Citadel and Busheldown were all designed at the same time. They were some of the first zones to be built. I wrote a lot of lore for each of these places and did not wish to see that lore abandoned when the zones were. The 8 Virtues of Marr and the holidays Marr are bits of lore that I hope to introduce soon. That and other lore from original documents lives on and has even become part of the greater tales of the Age of Destiny.

Busheldown and Marr still contain points of interest that I find to be some of the most beautiful locations we have made. The Cathedral of Marr inside Lionheart Castle and the Temple of Sullon Zek inside Busheldown are still amazing to gaze upon.

Vhalen also wrote:

What you are looking at is Lionheart Castle, part of the hidden city of Marr. The village rests beyond the bridge to the right. In an early version of the game the Knights of Truth, Priests of Marr and other benevolent residents from North Freeport migrated to this village after the Freeport Militia drove them out of Freeport.

The guardians of Lionheart Castle are an order that can be seen in North Freeport since the Age of Turmoil. These guardians are called the Sentries of Erollisi. They wear ornate silver armor with a shiny silver helm. The helm's visor is shaped in the guise of Erollisi Marr. These guards don vibrant blue capes with cowls. They are highly skilled with crossbows and always have one slung on their back. Their primary weapon is a blessed ornate war hammer of fine design. Sentries also have long hair regardless of gender. A Sentry is bound to protect the Priests of Marr and any sacred ground of the Order of Marr. These elite knights are very alluring, but pure of heart.

The village of Marr may not appear in game, but its original design document had many elements that have made it into EQ2 lore. Many of these secrets will be revealed in time. The village itself does not exist as designed, but there is a hidden fortress that represents this original design. So, this image does exist on Norrath, in lore.

I think that was in reference to the pictures in this thread (which is also where the other quote can be found)

They SO should make those originaly intended zones. But not re-use the DFC model.

If the Order of Marr was the caretaker of a great artifact <claymore> that they know contians the fate of norrath you would think once they losted it they would launch a massive attack on Roehn Theer to try to recover it or die fighting as it is the ways of Valor, Or atleast have them have something to do with that quest line or lore. Telling you ever since Vhalen stepped down lore been in the crapper and I never get any answers to my questions from any devs that ive email or post on these forums. MAYBE for once a Lore dev share some information or atleast say something!!!

If they were to appear in game I'd like to change out "Might" for "Courage" or "Valor" as I feel one of those would fit better for the eighth virtue. Just a little info to toss out there."

woot!!! Thank you Kaitheel you gave me some hope that the devs do listen. so who must i kiss up to to have those zones completed. The way vhalen talked about them its such a waste they are not out and just are taking up space. if I start a petition list on this forum think that might help convince the head devs to work on them? I love the Knight of truth/ Order of marr lore ever since eq when i had my human paladin killing sharks to get the shark skin shield and me runing around in the CL trying to find the meesager . I felt like they just dropped off the face of norrath once new expansion came out i mean dam they can't be that sneaky most of them are running around in light blue plate ;p.

Mitharius DarDanus

Lord of Valor

Leader of Knights of Valor
